Meghan Markle in conversation with Courtney Adamo
The pair took part in a livestreamed discussion titled, “Compare Notes on Creating a Home That’s Filled With Joy”.
During this conversation, Meghan gave a sneak peek into her life at home with Prince Harry, Archie and Lilibet.
She shared some of her young family of four’s traditions, which apparently include listening to music at the start of every day.
Courtney and Meghan also reminisced, bonding over memories from a Spring Break spent backpacking France together.
They also opened up about how they had been together as the 9/11 terrorist attack happened. It was during this moment that Courtney corrected Meghan.
Meghan ‘interrupted mid-flow’
Meghan began the story, recounting how she and Courtney had been preparing to return to Northwestern University in Chicago.
“We were meant to drive from LA back to Chicago to go back to school,” the Duchess of Sussex began, according to the Express US.
At this, Courtney reportedly chipped in to quietly correct her: “We were meant to fly.”

“We were – yes, we were meant to fly,” Meghan repeated, before pushing on. “But no, here’s why we didn’t: because 9/11 happened on that same day.”
As the audience reportedly gasped she continued: “So the two of us ended up driving 30 hours over three days. 10 hours a day. From Los Angeles to Chicago, together at one of the most fragile, tender times in this country.”
Meghan’s response looks like disbelief.
Body language expert, Judi James, reportedly told the newspaper of the interaction: “When she talks about the 9/11 drive she actually makes an error with her wording and is interrupted mid-flow and corrected by her friend. Meghan’s response looks like disbelief. She doesn’t seem to process that she has said ‘drive’ instead of ‘fly’, even when correcting herself.”
She went on: “She looks at her friend to speak in an odd stage whisper before putting a hand out to close her down so she can finish her story.”
At the event, Meghan also reportedly treated the audience to her own As Ever branded wine.
