Meghan Markle dealt fresh blow as another publicist 'quits'

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reported to have lost their tenth publicist in five years, after just months in the job.

Meghan Markle publicist ‘quits’ as statement issued
Emily Robinson joined Harry and Meghan’s communications team back in June, according to reports.
She is said to have previously been employed at Netflix. Controversially, she reportedly worked on publicity for The Crown for many years.
The series has been criticised for its depiction of sensitive historical events involving the royal family. The finale episode of the latest season dramatised the real-life scandal of Prince Harry dressing up as a Nazi to a fancy dress party in 2005.
She’s not a quitter, so things must have been pretty horrible for her to go.
The Sussexes are said to have hired at least 10 publicists since leaving their roles as senior royals and moving to California in 2020. However, according to the Daily Mail, two of these have since been promoted to other non-PR roles for the couple.
A friend of Robinson reportedly said of the claims: “It was her decision. She left a few weeks ago. She’s not a quitter, so things must have been pretty horrible for her to go.”
Royal Insider contacted reps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment on this story.
A spokesman for the couple said: “Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan and additional support for the production company. She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.”

Harry and Meghan warn of dangers of AI
Earlier this week, Harry and Meghan made headlines as they spoke out against the future of AI.
The couple joined prominent computer scientists artists, evangelical Christian leaders, economists, artists, and US politicians to call for a ban on AI “superintelligence” which could reportedly pose a threat to humanity.
Harry and Meghan signed a statement along with famous names such as Richard Branson and Stephen Fry, urging tech companies like Google, OpenAI and Meta Platforms to halt the production of superintelligent AI.
In a personal note, Prince Harry also added: “The future of AI should serve humanity, not replace it. I believe the true test of progress will be not how fast we move, but how wisely we steer. There is no second chance.”
