Courtney Adamo breaks silence on interview with Meghan Markle following backlash
The pair have been friends since collegeCourtney Adamo has spoken out following a recent interview with Meghan Markle that sparked some backlash.
Last week, the pair, who went to college together, joined forces for author and businesswoman Courtney’s book launch, taking part in a livestreamed conversation together.
Courtney is the co-founder of popular UK parenting blog, Babyccino Kids. The event at Godmothers bookstore promoted her new family-focused interior design book, The Family Home: Inspiring Ideas for a Home Filled with Joy.
However, both women found themselves accused of interrupting one another as clips of the event were shared on social media. Some people thought Meghan was being “rude” for cutting in.

Courtney Adamo issues statement following Meghan Markle interview
Now, Courtney has broken her silence, issuing a statement on the book event on social media. Sharing some photos from the occasion on Instagram, she told her followers: “This was such an exciting career highlight for me to sit up on stage in the beautiful Godmothers Bookstore, in front of the most engaged and smiling audience, to share about our new book and to answer questions about how we can create a home for our family that is filled with joy and intention.”
I hardly slept last night.
“Thank you to @godmothersbooks for hosting,” she continued, before turning her attention to the Duchess of Sussex, adding: “And to my long-time friend @meghan for joining and supporting me.”
She finished up sweetly: “I hardly slept last night from all the excitement!”

Many of Courtney’s followers were left inspired by the pair’s long-lasting friendship, leaving supportive messages in the comment section.
“Congratulations Courtney! Great to see friends supporting friends! Meghan sure does have the best people in her circle,” one person commented.
Another user agreed: “Congratulations Courtney!! It’s so wonderful to see Meghan supporting you and knowing you two have been friends since [the] age [of] 17, that’s incredible. It’s so beautiful when women support and lift each other up.”
A third person likewise said: “It’s wonderful to have such good friends from college who support you so well.”

Meghan and Courtney’s friendship
During the interview – entitled “Compare Notes on Creating a Home That’s Filled With Joy” – Meghan and Courtney shared some of their own family rituals as well as reminiscing on their college days.
Although both from California, they explained how they first crossed paths at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, back in 2001.
“We’ve been friends since college just so you know,” Meghan told the audience, adorably adding: “I learned so many things from Courtney.”
They also shared some funny anecdotes from a spring break spent backpacking through France together.
