Prince Harry became ‘increasingly uncomfortable’ and ‘genuinely concerned’ in podcast
Harry discussed a wide range of topics in the chatPrince Harry appeared on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast, hosted by the stand-up comic. But it seems he may have found the whole thing a bit uncomfortable.
Harry made the rare podcast appearance to further discuss his and Meghan Markle’s work in the dangers of AI and social media for children – as someone who doesn’t share his own children’s faces online.
However, body language expert, Judi James, has now claimed that Prince Harry actually was struggling to keep up with some of the jokes being made.

Prince Harry on Hasan Minhaj’s podcast
During his appearance on Hasan’s podcast, Prince Harry discussed his California life, fatherhood, mental health, social media and some cultural banter.
Many believed it was even one of his most relaxed interviews ever, as he spoke freely and openly about his lifestyle.
The interview had quite a lot of light-hearted jokes, fitting in with the usual podcast style. And at one point, Prince Harry even tried to do an American accent, which just made the crew burst out laughing.
Harry laughed along, joking: “The laughter, it’s encouraging. Is it encouraging or is it mocking me? I’m not sure.”
Also in the Prince Harry podcast, he revealed that he has “no plans” to become a US citizen currently. He and Meghan moved their family over to the States back in 2020, when they stepped down from their royal duties.
However, despite the light-hearted nature, it seems Prince Harry may have been more uncomfortable in the podcast than anyone realised.

Harry’s reactions ‘revealed’
Speaking to The Mirror, Judi revealed that Harry’s “ability” to blend serious topics with the mocking humour is a “de-stabilising technique”.
However whenever Prince Harry becomes the subject of a joke, Judi believes that is where he became “increasingly uncomfortable”. And it’s because of this Harry would say things like, “you’re a humorous guy”.
It’s at this point that Harry seems to become genuinely concerned.
Judi revealed: “Hasan takes his gags beyond Harry’s understanding, leaving him with no wriggle room to out-joke the host. He is even asked to make himself look and sound ridiculous with the American accent scenario. It’s at this point that Harry seems to become genuinely concerned, looking out to the crew to as ‘Is this part of the thing?’ to find out if he is being encouraged or mocked.”
One other moment that seemed to make a mark on Judi was when Harry was discussing his book, Spare and his “vulnerability”.

Harry didn’t know if he should ‘drop out’ of interview
She claimed: “Harry’s change of expression suggests he believes this is the part where they talk seriously about his mental health. But the quote the host uses is about how Harry had to buy his clothes from TKMaxx, which again seems to wrong-foot Harry.”
While Judi admitted at the beginning, Harry would “lead the gags” and do “toe taps to suggest confidence”, this all changed by the time they discussed Spare.
She said: “But then his eye expression becomes wary and his toe-tapping speeds up to hint at annoyance or impatience. He wipes his nose and sniffs, looking up to think of an answer but he finds none and his face begins to redden. Watching the host pretend to cry over his TKMaxx experience shows Harry at a loss here. His glances to the crew suggest he is need of emotional support and even some advice about whether he should join in the mockery of himself, or just drop out.”
