'Reason' Prince Andrew 'won't leave Royal Lodge home for months' after King Charles' decision
Andrew has been handed his eviction noticePrince Andrew has been issued with a notice to leave Royal Lodge, amid an announcement confirming he’s being stripped of his titles.
The decision comes as Andrew, 65, has been at the centre of much scandal over the last few years. This is largely due to his association with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
He was also accused of sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre, allegations he has always denied.
However, the royal’s move will be dragged out for some time, reports claim. Andrew is expected to remain at the royal home for a few “months”.
Now, the real reason he won’t be out asap has reportedly been revealed…

Prince Andrew stripped of titles and will leave Royal Lodge
In a statement last night (Thursday, October 30), Buckingham Palace said: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.
“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” it continued.
“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Andrew’s Royal Lodge exit will take ‘months’
Those expecting Andrew to move out of the Royal Lodge immediately will be disappointed.
According to The Telegraph, the king’s brother won’t be leaving the seven-bedroom property until the New Year.
The former Duke of York has surrendered the lease to the property; however, the move will be “protracted”, according to sources.
According to the outlet, the delay is to ensure that there is no awkward crossover between Andrew and the rest of the royal family this Christmas at Sandringham.
The plan is for Andrew to reportedly move to a property at Sandringham. However, the royals spend Christmas there. With Andrew in Windsor over the Christmas period and not moving until early 2026, he won’t bump into any of the other royals enjoying their festive break there this year.

Andrew ‘sanguine’ about changes
Andrew is said to be “sanguine” over the latest changes to his life, and has been used to his life as a royal being “sliced away” over the last 15 years. He is said to be “relieved” to finally be a private citizen.
There was talk of the royal moving to Frogmore Cottage; however, it was decided that he should live somewhere properly private, funded solely by the king.
It was decided that Andrew will move to a property at Sandringham, which is privately owned by the king and is therefore not subject to the same public, political, and media pressure.
Sandringham has special significance for Andrew, due to its links to the late queen and Prince Philip. It was one of the late couple’s “happiest” homes, where they could relax away from the spotlight.
Therefore, Andrew, like his siblings, has “great affection” for the estate.
