Another season isn't looking likely, according to odds

After two seasons, Meghan Markle’s Netflix show With Love, Meghan, is tipped to be axed once the holiday special airs on TV.

Earlier this year, Meghan made her TV comeback, but in a lifestyle and cooking show. Each episode of the show had a different celebrity guest who was a close friend of Meghan’s.

Despite some bad reviews, With Love Meghan was renewed for a second season on Netflix pretty quickly. And just recently, it was revealed it would be airing a one-off holiday special. But it seems this could be the last we see of the show.

With Love, Meghan tipped to be axed by Netflix

According to new odds by Esports Bets, With Love, Meghan could get cancelled after the holiday special.

Current odds are suggesting the special has a 5/4 chance of being the lowest audience in the show’s history, after the announcement didn’t get the best reception.

Following the special, which airs on Netflix on December 3, there is a 6/4 likelihood that the series will be cancelled altogether, ending immediately after the Christmas episode.

Darragh Harbinson, spokesperson for Esports Bets, said: “The upcoming Christmas special feels like a litmus test for With Love, Meghan, after persistent scrutiny from critics throughout the year.

“The odds point to a softer audience than previous episodes, at 5/4 for a record low, and there is a 6/4 chance the show is cancelled in the aftermath, if Netflix feel the numbers don’t stack up.”

What did viewers think of the show

The announcement for the holiday special was teased in a press release from Netflix themselves.

It read: “This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts and share lots of laughs – with simple how to’s to follow at home.”

But the show was described as a “holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a gorgeous dose of joy”.

However, that’s not exactly how a lot of fans felt, as many weren’t too impressed by the news.

One wrote on X: “Cancelled my subscription,” while another added: “Thanks for the warning, I’ll make sure to block it.”

However, there were a few fans who couldn’t wait for the show to premiere.

One gushed: “I can’t wait. This is going to be a must-see for our holiday celebrations.”

Meghan makes a big return to Hollywood acting

The news that With Love, Meghan could be axed by Netflix comes right as the duchess is reportedly kickstarting her Hollywood acting career again.

It was recently reported that Meghan would star in the upcoming Hollywood movie Close Personal Friends. While she would be playing herself, it marks a huge return to acting life, which she gave up in 2017.

After the news was announced, a source who has been on set with Meghan recently revealed what she is like when filming. And everything seemed quite positive.

People Magazine reported: “She introduced herself as ‘Meghan’. Everything about her was very sweet and calm. She seemed genuinely excited to be on set.

“It was obvious that she had rehearsed and that it was a big deal for her to be back. And she was great.”
