Meghan Markle lifts the lid on her ‘mistakes’ with striking barefaced portrait and emotional glimpse into Prince Harry romance

Back in 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the world by stepping down from their royal duties. The pair, along with their newborn son, Prince Archie, moved to America to start their new life. Although there has recently been reports and rumours of Prince Harry making a return to royal life.
Since then, they have been re-entering the spotlight through TV shows like With Love, Meghan – which is getting a holiday special – and books. But they still keep an element of their life private. And now, Meghan has given a glimpse at their romance, while speaking to Harpers Bazaar.
How Meghan deals with ‘mistakes’
Over the years, Meghan has been dealt a lot of blows in the public eye. But she seems to think mistakes and failure are all a part of growing as a person.
Once she makes a mistake, she “learns not to do it again”. Meghan admitted that “if it all goes swimmingly” then you don’t actually learn anything. And ultimately “you don’t grow”.
But this also transfers into how Meghan raises her children, as she wants them to learn failure is a part of life.
The duchess explained: “I’m a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new. I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day.”
As for what she does when her kids are feeling this way, Meghan tells them: “‘I know it seems really hard right now, but trust me, that’s going to come easily soon’.”
But as she teaches her children that, she realised she should have “the same grace” as “there’s no such thing as perfect”.
Meghan Markle romance with Prince Harry
Meghan also spoke about her relationship with Prince Harry, and how the pair are still madly in love.
The couple has faced a lot of break-up speculation and media attention. But they seem to be still be better than ever.
She explained that Prince Harry “loves” her “boldly” and brings a “different perspective” to things like the media for her.
“No one in the world loves me more than him. So, I know he is always going to make sure that he has my back.
“You have someone who just has this childlike wonder and playfulness. I was so drawn to that, and he brought it out in me. That’s translated to every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play, have fun and explore and be creative.”
What was Meghan Markle like before she met Prince Harry?
Growing up, Meghan’s life was a world different to what it is now. And she has given just a little bit more of an insight to the Meghan she used to be.
Meghan explained that she was “such a little nerd” as a kid. And her “entire identity” was wrapped up in needing to be the smart one.
And it was through the Fox dating TV show Studs that she realised she wanted to be able to help with everything.
Meghan and her friends used to act it out after school, and she always wanted to “help organise, help co-ordinate and facilitate”. And she admitted she actually thinks she is the same now.
