Prince William named as 'TikTok's Top Royal Fashion Icon' and he massively outperformed Princess Kate
This is a huge style feat
Prince William has wiped the floor with his royal relatives when it comes to fashion – according to TikTok that is.
The Prince of Wales is known for his sleek style and dapper suits. So much so, it seems he has made quite a name for himself when it comes to the trend side of social media.

Prince William is the king of TikTok fashion
Princess Diana recently reigned as the ultimate royal fashion icon, as per a recent survey of the British public. But now, it looks like Prince William has outranked his late mother.
The Prince of Wales swiped the top spot from Princess Kate and Meghan Markle in a study from women’s fashion brand Kaiia.
The research has revealed that more than 11.6 million people search the internet for “Prince William style inspiration” each month.
William’s achievements don’t stop there. His style has even won him a near-perfect style popularity score of 99 in the study.
And surprisingly, the future monarch is the king of TikTok when it comes to users searching up his fashion. Even outdoing Princess Kate who garners 14.6 million Google searches for her outfits.
Prince William rakes on 600k searches for his style
William has raked in a whopping 600,000 searches for his style each month on TikTok, compared to Kate’s 60,000 on the platform.
Kaiia’s study analysed how often people search up the royal’s outfits on Google. It also measured how many Youtube videos mention their clothing and how often their outfits pop up on TikTok.
How often the royals appear in online photos is also take into account.
The overall data was then used to give each royal a score out of 100 based on the popularity of their style.
Princess Kate and Meghan Markle are both known for their effect on the fashion economy. In fact, they both sell out trends on the regular.

Princess Kate and Meghan Markle overtaken by Wills
However it is unsurprising that William may have overtaken the two women, given his recent transition into a more modern and casual, yet still well put together, look.
Earlier this year, he even sparked conversation over the green shacket he had been sporting.
During a February 2025 episode of The Sun’s “Royal Exclusive” YouTube show, Prince William’s contemporary style was discussed.
“Prince William’s been wearing a shacket recently,” the publication’s royal editor, Matt Wilkinson, said stating: “This is a real thing! It’s half jacket, half shirt.”
It isn’t just the shacket that has caught the eye, the prince has been rocking stylish sneakers and an overall more smart casual silhouette in recent months.
Prince of Wales’s modern style
Paired with his groomed facial hair that has also ruffled many feathers, Prince William’s style has definitely become more contemporary.
Although Wills was crowned the fashion king of TikTok, his other stylish relatives weren’t far behind.
It has been a big year for William, who was even crowned the World’s Sexiest Bald Man, back in June.
Princess Diana, Princess Kate, Queen Elizabeth and Meghan Markle made the top five.

Other royals from across the globe also rounded out the top 10.
Princess Leonor of Spain and her father, King Felipe, are said to rake in 99,000 and 100,00 searches per month, respectively.
Meanwhile, Leonor, who the future Queen of Spain, is reportedly a Gen Z favourite.
She even beat her mum, Queen Letizia, who is known for her chic style, in both Google and TikTok searches each month.
