Queen Camilla hosts Christmas tree event at Clarence House

Camilla has welcomed seriously ill children to Clarence House, to enjoy the cosiness of the lavish London abode whilst helping her decorate their Christmas tree. It’s a heartwarming tradition she’s upheld for many years.

In one clip shared to X on Thursday, Camilla can be seen embracing one young guest and asking him: “Are you excited?”

Camilla sported a festive, emerald green dress and could be seen beaming as she shook hands with other guests arriving as a band played in the background.

The queen looked very happy as she said to one little boy: “We have lots of treats for you.”

In another clip, the queen could be seen conversing with someone dressed as Santa Claus. She claimed a stack of presents off the Santa Claus whilst standing in front of a sparkling Christmas tree.

The queen seemingly gushed: “Thank you very much.”

Royal fans react as Queen Camilla hosts festive event

Meanwhile, one eagle-eyed observer shared a hilarious theory in the comments. What if the Santa Claus at Clarence House is actually King Charles in costume?

They penned: “It would be hilarious if King Charles played father Christmas. This is probably the best royal event every year.”

“I love this engagement,” said a second.

“How lovely! Such a heartwarming tradition, the queen bringing joy to those children is truly special,” chimed in another.

The royals at Christmas

Elsewhere, Princess Kate hosted her annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey last Friday. She has hosted the service since 2021.

This week, King Charles attended a festive service also at Westminster Abbey.

The monarch joined Christian leaders from across the UK and the world, as well as representatives of other faiths and charities, at a special Advent service.

The service highlighted “themes of Advent ecumenicism, and the experience of persecuted Christians”.

Charles even shared his own message. In it he said: “It is a great joy to gather with you in the most glorious setting of Westminster Abbey as we celebrate the light, hope and, above all, the peace of this season of Advent.”
