Kate Middleton's touching Christmas gift to hospital where she received cancer treatment
How thoughtful!Kate Middleton has gifted a touching Christmas present to the hospital where she received her cancer treatment.
The Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. She underwent chemotherapy treatment at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
At the start of this year, she shared the wonderful news that she’s now in remission.

Kate Middleton’s Christmas gift
Last week, The Royal Marsden NHS Trust shared a snap of a colourful Christmas tree to their official Instagram. The caption explained that it had been donated by the Princess of Wales, following her Together at Christmas carol concert earlier this month.
“Thank you to HRH The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden with HRH The Prince of Wales, for donating a majestic Christmas tree from the ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol Service, held at Westminster Abbey earlier this month,” it read.
It continued: “We’d also like to thank Stephen Phair at @premier_plants for donating the decorations, and for his time decorating it so beautifully. You can see the tree in all its glory in the entrance of the Oak Cancer Centre in Sutton.”

Kate comforts patients receiving cancer treatment
Princess Kate maintains strong links with the hospital, of which Prince William has been president since 2007. Back in January, the Prince and Princess of Wales became joint patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
Shortly after, Kate made a special visit to thank staff for looking after her and to show support to patients.
She told one woman undergoing cancer treatment: “I’m sorry. I wish there was more I could do to help. I wanted to come and show my support for the amazing work that’s going on here, and for those who are going through treatment and having such a hard time.”
She then added comfortingly: “There is light at the end of that tunnel. Very nice to meet you and best of luck. You are in the best of hands.”
Earlier this month, the Princess of Wales once again showed her support for the hospital by paying a visit to the Ever After Garden, a beautiful art installation in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Featuring over 30,000 illuminated white roses on display in Chelsea’s Duke of York Square, the seasonal campaign invites visitors to donate and dedicate a rose in memory of a loved one. During her surprise appearance, Kate penned a touching handwritten note to those who have lost their lives to cancer.
