The newsletter was titled “pop the bubbly”. It also included a link to Meghan’s As Ever wine collection.

In the message, Meghan said: “When the clock strikes midnight, we’ll be celebrating right along with you. Glasses raised, bottles of bubbly popping, and confetti in the air – only in our case, it’s Flower Sprinkles falling instead.”

Meghan also sells flower sprinkles through her As Ever brand.

She continued: “A crisp pour of Brut, a joyful toast and a wish from us to you: may the year ahead be full of good company, memorable nights, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. Cheers, dears!”

How did Meghan and Harry spend Christmas?

Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated Christmas in Montecito with their kids, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.

In another As Ever newsletter, shared to fans on December 25, Meghan gave them an insight into her family’s festive plans.

She said: “Last night, I was nibbling the remnants of our Christmas Eve feast (dim sum this year), wrapping a few last-minute gifts, and tiptoeing down the stairs with my husband to make sure ‘Santa’ had enjoyed his cookies and ‘the reindeer’ had eaten their carrots.

When the clock strikes midnight, we’ll be celebrating right along with you.

“Anything to maintain the morning magic of Christmas through our children’s eyes.”

Speaking about Christmas Day itself, the duchess added: “I plan to spend today cuddled up with my family. Maybe pyjamas all day, some Scrabble or Sequence (or Candyland for the kids), music playing, candles flickering, dogs snoring, endless grazing.

“The laughter, the sidebars, the deep breaths (you know the ones), the fun, and the memories.”

Royal family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham

Meghan concluded: “Whether you’re cosied up in your pyjamas like we are, or dressed to the nines, whether you’re with a huge gathering, with your partner, your kids, or on your own… I’m wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the blessings that come with it. From my family to yours – Happy Holidays!”

However, since 2019, they have spent it away from Sandringham, where the royals traditionally spend the festive period.

Meghan first celebrated Christmas with the royal family in 2017 following her engagement to Harry. She attended the annual Sandringham walkabout, where members of the monarchy greet well-wishers who have gathered as they make their way to church.
