Prince Louis showed William 'who was boss' by 'refusing' his dad's gesture during outing
Louis stepped out with his parents and siblings in SandringhamCheeky Prince Louis made sure to show his dad, Prince William, “who was boss” during a recent public outing, a royal commentator has said.
The young prince, seven, joined his parents and older siblings for the Christmas Day walkabout in Sandringham last month.
During the walkabout, which the royal family does each year, the Prince of Wales, 43, was seen teasing his young son by attempting to put a woolly hat on his head.
But it seems Louis wasn’t keen on having his smart hair messed up!

Moment Prince Louis showed William ‘who was boss’
The sweet moment, caught on camera by well-wishers, showed William accepting a gifted beanie hat from one person in the crowd.
William was heard saying to the well-wisher: “Thank you very much.” He then cheekily placed the hat on top of Louis’ head.
Louis was showing his dad who was boss by refusing to don a woolly hat.
But Louis quickly moved away from the hat and made sure his hair was back in place.
Fans loved the moment and gushed over little Louis’ antics. One person said: “Prince William is such a dad. Messing up Louis perfectly styled hair. Don’t he know there’s pictures.”
Another wrote: “Prince Louis: not today dad, don’t mess up my perfect hair,” followed by laughing face emojis.
Someone else gushed: “Prince William is such a dad!! What a cute video.”

‘It was a charming family scene’
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond also weighed in on the moment.
She told the Mirror: “Louis was showing his dad who was boss by refusing to don a woolly hat which a member of the public had handed to William. It was a charming family scene, and the Wales’s took longer than any of the others to work their way along the crowds.”
Louis wasn’t the only Wales youngster to gain attention online during the walkabout.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s manners and greetings to well-wishers also went down a treat with fans.

As the Wales children get older, they are being seen more in public with their parents. However, according to Jennie, the Prince and Princess of Wales remain cautious about their children’s wellbeing.
She explained: “I think the Prince and Princess of Wales are doing a sterling job in giving the press and public just enough access to the children to satisfy curiosity. But I’m sure that their main priority is their children’s well-being and how comfortable they do or don’t feel with attending public events, and I think that will continue to be their strategy.”
Jennie added that although we’ll likely see the whole family out on occasions this year, it remains “way too early for them to be on more frequent public display”.
