Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are said to have made a pretty awkward gesture in a bid to win over the royals.

The divorced duo are said to have sent out Christmas cards. These cards were allegedly pleading with their royal relatives in hopes to reconcile.

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ’embarrassing’ attempt to win over the royal family

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have largely been wiped out of royal life due to their links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Currently, royal observers are counting down the days to see Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor move from Royal Lodge, with the pair said to be vacating the abode by Easter.

Despite this damning deadline, the duo reportedly reached out to their royal family members with “deeply personal Christmas cards”.

The allegedly handwritten notes were said to be signed by Sarah Ferguson, an insider has claimed.

They described the cards as “begging letters”.

“Sarah has been including apologies in the cards. Expressing regret for past events involving the House of York,” the source told OK. “The tone is overly effusive and almost pleading. As though she’s trying to smooth over the family’s continued tensions.”

Sarah and Andrew’s repeated sentiment

Describing the message as “pathetic” the insider claimed that Sarah repeated throughout the cards: “I hope we meet again.”

They added: “She even sent one to King Charles and Queen Camilla. Considering it was Charles who stripped her and Andrew of their royal titles, it just seems embarrassingly desperate and like a better letter.”

Royal Insider has contacted Buckingham Palace and representatives for Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The cards were mainly sent by Sarah Ferguson. But some messages were signed by both Fergie and Andrew, claims the insider.

Andrew and Fergie are withdrawn from the royal fold

“There’s no sign that Andrew has sent any cards to the royals himself,” they said. “It seems he has withdrawn completely from public-facing correspondence. Leaving Sarah to maintain a family-friendly front.”

Evidently, it seems the duo are firmly on the outskirts of The Firm.

Meanwhile, tongues are wagging about Andrew’s next move.

Royal biographer Robert Jobson floated the idea of a Middle East relocation. He pointed to King Charles’ recent private meeting with the King of Bahrain as a potential clue.

He told PEOPLE: “It could be a place where Andrew gets the recognition of being the second son of Queen Elizabeth, rather than this.”

Andrew and Sarah’s fall from grace has seen them left in need of new living arrangements.

Marsh Farm is widely reported to be Andrew’s next residence. Meanwhile, Fergie’s new home is yet to be disclosed.

Although he and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, continued living together at Royal Lodge even after their divorce in 1996, reports expect the couple will now be living apart.

Despite the deadline looming closer, details are yet to be confirmed.

Because of this, all eyes are on the disgraced couple and how they will navigate life away from the spotlight.
