Catherine Ommanney, Prince Harry’s former flame, has opened up about her shock arrest.
The Real Housewives of DC star has opened up about the nightmare ordeal, in which she was arrested on suspicion of fraud.
Prince Harry’s ex Catherine Ommanney ‘arrested’
The 53-year-old reality star was arrested after she allegedly failed to pay a £500 bill whilst holidaying at a Majorca resort.
Ommanney has since lashed out at these claims, insisting: “The bill was paid.”
The star had supposedly racked up a €550 (£475) bill whilst staying at the three star Playas del Rey Hotel, near Magaluf, over a 9-day stint.
The reality TV star was snapped yesterday as she left a court cell alongside a Civil Guard officer at around 7pm, as per reports.
Catherine Ommanney was said to have appeared before a judge in the Majorcan capital of Palma last night.
She told the Majorca Daily Bulletin of the scenario: “It was a clerical error, nothing more. The bill was paid via a bank transfer – the hotel does not take credit cards – and Sunday was the worst day of my life. I certainly did not like being kept in a holiday cell. I will be seeking an apology through the justice system.”
Her lawyer allegedly told The Sun that they had not seen the reports about Catherine and would not comment on the situation without authorisation.

Catherine Ommanney’s ‘fling’ with Prince Harry
Catherine Ommanney famously dated Prince Harry, who is now married to Meghan Markle, in 2006. In November 2022, she opened up about their alleged short-lived romance.
She told the Sun on Sunday that she was speaking out as Prince Harry had mentioned her in his tell-all memoir, Spare – which she thought he shouldn’t have. Although, Harry reportedly did not mention Catherine by name.
She said about Harry: “It was clear he wasn’t a virgin when we met. He was 21 and he was very sure of himself – he was a great kisser and obviously knew what he was doing. He lifted me off the floor in a way that no man has ever done to me before or since. And Harry knew how to treat a woman. He was very giving. Very passionate, lovely and a total gentleman.”
Catherine also claimed she had given Harry the nickname “baby,” as he had a habit of sucking on lollipops at the time.

“I do believe he enjoyed my company, because I’m a little bit older and wiser. And not like the 20-year-olds or whatever he had been hanging out with. I had the patience to listen to what he said and give him some advice on life.
“Harry was surrounded by young women that would throw themselves at him and I think he was searching for something deeper and more meaningful with someone wiser. That’s maybe why he found me attractive. I didn’t realise what the age gap was because it wasn’t important to me.”
The pair were said to be involved when Prince Harry was 21 and Catherine was 34.
The relationship fizzled out according to Catherine, after meeting each other on a few occasions.
However, she said they were “friendly” when they bumped into each other again in 2009 at a polo match.
