King Charles warned over Donald Trump visit in US: 'It will make the UK look weak'
A reported reunion is reportedly just a few months awayKing Charles has been issued a warning ahead of his reported visit to the US to meet with President Donald Trump.
His Majesty is reportedly due to head to the US with Queen Camilla in April. This will mark the country’s 250th anniversary of independence in 2026.
However, following Trump’s recent bombshell demands over Greenland, it has been suggested that Charles should rethink his decision.

King Charles warned about Donald Trump visit
Recently, President Trump has insisted his country must acquire Greenland, a territory of Denmark that has its own king, for national security reasons.
However, his demands have been rejected by Greenland’s leaders.
The move has led to a wider diplomatic row. Trump has threatened more trade tariffs against a number of European allies if they do not support his plans.
But now, with King Charles still likely to go ahead with his US visit to meet with the president, the king has been urged to rethink his trip.
Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Ed Davey, argued that the UK “must not be a doormat for an extortionist. Or reward Trump’s behaviour with the pageantry he craves”.
The Republic campaign group has also said: “Charles visiting Trump in the US will only play into Trump’s hands. And will make the UK look weak and servile.”
Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s spokesman was asked about it too. They replied: “The UK-US relationship is built on 250 years of history and decades of unparalleled cultural links and defence and security collaboration.
“There is no relationship that has delivered more for the British people.”

King Charles’ ‘visit’ to America
The Telegraph reports that when it comes to Charles visiting other heads of state, it is done on the advice of his government. His personal opinions are reportedly not taken into consideration.
What’s more, it’s been alleged that unless the government decides otherwise, there are no plans to “deviate” from anything pencilled in the Buckingham Palace diary.
The palace has not yet confirmed Charles’ visit to America. But royal sources have previously claimed it will happen in April.
According to The Sun, to mark the 250-year anniversary of the founding of the United States, a string of events have been planned.
It has been said that Charles’ royal visit is expected to be a “major moment” in the run-up to the Independence Day celebrations on July 4.
In addition to this, Prince William and Princess Catherine have also been tipped to visit the US for the celebrations.
It comes after Trump’s state visit to the UK took place last September. The king hosted the president in Windsor. The visit celebrated the relationship between the US and the UK.
Following his UK trip, Trump had nothing but nice words to say about the royal family.
