Princess Beatrice's 'true feelings' towards father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor amid scandal

It's been a dramatic few months for the family

A “heartbroken” Princess Beatrice reportedly “doesn’t want to abandon” her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the fallout from his royal exile.

The former Duke of York has dominated the headlines in recent months. Andrew’s association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein led to the loss of his royal titles and honours and further tarnished the royal family’s public image.

But now, while Andrew’s daughter Princess Eugenie has reportedly “cut off all contact” with him, apparently the same can’t be said for other daughter Princess Beatrice.

Princess Beatrice’s ‘true feelings’ towards father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Andrew was stripped of his royal titles last year. It came amid his and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s renewed scrutiny over their links to Jeffrey Epstein. As a result, Sarah also lost her Duchess of York title.

Since then, the former couple have rarely stayed out of the headlines. It was recently reported that their Royal Lodge exit date is just days away.

However, although Eugenie has reportedly been left “devastated” following the scandal and is reportedly not speaking to her dad, older sister Beatrice is said to be more supportive of Andrew.

Beatrice ‘doesn’t want to abandon’ Andrew

After leaving Royal Lodge, Andrew is said to be moving to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. Meanwhile, Sarah is said to be looking for her own home away from Andrew.

And according to Now To Love, it seems that Beatrice will be the only one staying in touch with Andrew at his new home.

A source told the publication: “The whole sorry saga has been incredibly stressful and it’s ripped the family apart.

“Beatrice is heartbroken but she doesn’t want to abandon her father and you have to admire her loyalty, but it’s not been easy.”

Royal Insider has contacted representatives for Buckingham Palace and Beatrice for comment.

York sisters to ‘miss out’ on £30m inheritance

It comes after reports claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie will allegedly no longer be able to inherit the reported £30 million estate Andrew once had a lease on. A property expert explained why the sisters aren’t entitled to Royal Lodge, despite Andrew living there for over 20 years.

Andrew has faced much scrutiny over the years due to his association with Epstein. Resurfaced emails last year appeared to show that Andrew remained in contact with the late convicted sex offender longer than he claimed he had in his 2019 BBC Newsnight interview.

He also faced sexual assault allegations from the late Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Epstein.

Andrew has always vehemently denied all allegations against him.
