'Complications' Princess Beatrice and Eugenie have 'avoided' with their children following royal decision
The royal sisters have always kept their children out of the public eye
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie may have grown up within the royal fold, but they’re raising their own families on very different terms, and that may be a gift to their children, a royal author suggests.
The sisters have chosen lives outside of the working monarchy, instead embracing careers and quieter, more private lifestyles.
Beatrice works at tech company Afiniti. Meanwhile, Eugenie works in the art world with the gallery Hauser & Wirth.
Between them, they’re raising four young children: Sienna and Athena (Beatrice’s daughters with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi) and August and Ernest (Eugenie’s sons with Jack Brooksbank).
Beatrice is also stepmother to Edoardo’s son, Christopher Woolf, from his previous relationship with architect Dara Huang.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have avoided ‘complications’ for their children
According to royal author Robert Jobson, the sisters’ choices have created a calm, grounded family life.
“The princess has shown how a so-called blended family works,” he told HELLO! of Beatrice. “She wed Edoardo in July 2020, when his son Wolfie was around four. She was genuine too when she described being his stepmum as ‘a great honour.'”
Wolfie’s mother, Dara Huang, herself previously praised the family dynamic, saying both sets of parents were co-parenting “with no drama, just good parenting”.
Beyond their blended family setups, the princesses have also shielded their children from public scrutiny.
The royal sisters have both avoided complications for their children by avoiding royal and aristocratic titles.
Photos of the children are rare, and when shared, their faces are often hidden. Neither sister brings her children to official engagements, and they’ve kept royal titles out of the equation entirely.
“The royal sisters have both avoided complications for their children by avoiding royal and aristocratic titles,” Jobson explained. “It means less scrutiny and means they can avoid the burden of being truly public figures.”
Both Beatrice and Eugenie continue to support charitable causes. However, they’ve never held official royal roles, a distance that Jobson believes has served them well.
“They are working mums with proper jobs, and they’re hands-on,” he said. He noted that this balance has allowed them to raise their children “their way, and in doing so, giving them freedom”.

Beatrice and Eugenie’s ‘true feelings’ towards Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice is reportedly “heartbroken” but unwilling to cut ties with her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, despite his ongoing royal exile.
While her sister Eugenie is said to have “cut off all contact” with their father, Beatrice has reportedly remained supportive following the scandal surrounding Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, which led to the loss of his royal titles.
A source told Now To Love that the scandal has “ripped the family apart”.
“You have to admire her loyalty, but it’s not been easy,” they added.
Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, are said to be days away from leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor. Andrew is reportedly relocating to Sandringham. Sarah is said to be looking for her own home.
