King Charles' hilarious reaction to Prince Harry's playful 'swipe' at brother William

In the early 2000s, Harry joined his now estranged family, brother William and dad Charles, for a polo match in Wales.

In June 2003, Prince William, Harry and Charles took part in a polo match in Wales. Shortly after, the trio were filmed chatting about how the match went.
In the clip, Harry took a playful swipe at his brother and told William: “Shut up, I nearly fell off my horse trying to get you to hit the ball and you missed it, spoon.”
A few seconds later a baffled Charles replied: “Spoon did you say?”
Harry reassured his dad and said: “Spoon, it’s not a swear word.”
Charles then said: “Are you sure?” to which Harry replied: “Yes.”
Charles pleads ‘please not!’
Harry then quipped: “Let’s not mention the world you invented.”
Charles quickly replied: “No, no, no we won’t!” William chucked as Charles pleaded: “Please not!”
Delighted fans reacted to the throwback video on Facebook, with one person writing in the comments section: “Lovely family playing together and having fun.”
Another added: “Just lovely to see them together.”
A third chimed in: “It’s so nice to see the three of them, father and sons chatting & laughing even though this was taken when they were a lot younger.”
Charles ‘to choose between’ Harry and William?
In other King Charles news, it has been reported that Charles may soon be faced with the delicate task of choosing between his two estranged sons.
According to The Sun, Harry “desperately wants” Charles to appear at the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
It would be a move that could signal a major step toward reconciliation between father and son following their private meeting at the king’s London residence, Clarence House, in September 2025.
That reunion came during one of Harry’s rare visits to the UK. It was seen as a possible turning point in their relationship following years of Harry’s tell-all interviews.
