Prince William 'strongly opposes' King Charles' 'olive branch' to Meghan Markle and Harry
Prince William is said to be against Harry and Meghan's return
Prince William is said to be very against King Charles’s hopes to reconnect with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
In fact, an insider has claimed the Prince of Wales is “strongly opposed,” to a potential reconciliation between the relatives.
According to fresh claims, Charles could be readying himself to extend an invite to Balmoral, his Scottish residence.
Prince William ‘against’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reunion
The monarch is allegedly extending this olive branch to make for a more smooth visit to the UK for Harry and Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to come to the UK in the next few months, as part of Harry’s promotion of the upcoming 2027 Invictus Games.
“This is Charles’ most personal residence,” a source alleged to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop. “Offering Harry and Meghan time at Balmoral is an enormous gesture. It signals trust, forgiveness, and a genuine desire to heal.”

Balmoral is typically a summer escape for the royals. This means the Sussexes could be present during “select family gatherings”.
Including, whilst the Wales family are expected to be present.
Unfortunately for Harry and Meghan, Wills is said to be very unhappy about this.
“William is strongly opposed,” an insider claimed. “He believes it’s too much, too soon. And fears it could reopen wounds that have barely begun to heal.”
King Charles’s ‘plans’ to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to his royal residence
Meanwhile, Charles reportedly “knows time is precious. This is about family, not protocol.”

Kensington Palace has been contacted for comment.
These claims that King Charles could invite Harry and Meghan to Balmoral, come after similar claims that he planned to invite them to stay at Highgrove House.
A source allegedly told the Daily Mail that King Charles’s Cotwolds home “is a relatively short distance down the M5 from Birmingham”.
Thus, making it a perfect spot for the Sussexes to stay this summer.
Highgrove is covered by a 24/7 squad of armed police, as well as a no fly-zone bubble around the estate.
The sprawling Cotswold pad even has a steel-lined panic room – another element that is sure to make Harry and Meghan feel safer, given their concerns for their safety whilst visiting the UK.
Although Highgrove would work for July, the insider also added that: “The Sussexes need to stay in a hotel in the city during the Games in 2027.”
Elsewhere, as reported by The Express, another source has claimed: “There’s a good chance that they will stay at a royal residence during a U.K. stay that includes Invictus events if the current thaw in family relations continues.”
Harry’s relationship with William has been strained for several years now.
William and Harry’s relationship
Since stepping away from his duties and moving to the US in 2020, Harry has shared his experiences within The Firm.
Claims that made his relationship with William take a big hit.
Now, one royal author has revealed what is needed for the brothers to reunite.
Royal author Robert Jobson told HELLO!, following Harry’s recent visit to London: “Yes, they were in the same country, but it’s like they’re worlds apart. William and Kate are the embodiment of the future of the monarchy, while Harry looks trapped in the past.
“Right now, William is focused on duty, Harry on grievance. William is building a future and he no longer needs Harry’s drama. You can’t bridge that gap when one brother is moving forward and the other won’t let go of the past and the bitterness.
“Reconciliation needs compromise, but it mostly needs trust, and there is no trust between the brothers.”
