Kim Kardashian reveals full story behind 'ridiculous' Meghan Markle 'photogate' drama at Kris Jenner party
Kim K has spilled the tea on mum Kris Jenner's birthday bash
Meghan Markle was rumoured to be warring with the Kardashians back in November, after Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner removed snaps of Meghan and Harry partying at Kris’ 70th birthday bash.
Rumours have swirled ever since over the Sussexes’ friendship with the Kardashians family.
Now, finally, the real story has been revealed by none other than Kim Kardashian herself!

Kim Kardashian spills the tea on Meghan Markle ‘photogate’
Kim Kardashian has set the record straight as her latest appearance on her sister Khloé’s podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, dropped on YouTube on January 28.
In their juicy sit-down chat, where the two sisters discussed conspiracies about their high-profile family, Kim K revealed what really went down with Meghan Markle.
And she even gave her verdict about Meghan’s ‘friendship’ with Kris Jenner.
Last year a slew of celebs were snapped living it up at Kris’ glamorous James Bond-themed 70th birthday soiree.
The bash was held at the Beverly Hills home of Jeff Bezos and even the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in attendance.
Why Meghan Markle’s snaps with Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian were removed
During their glam night out, the royal couple were snapped with the birthday girl herself as well as her immensely famous daughter, Kim.
Unsurprisingly, these photos made their way onto Instagram. The images were posted amid a carousel of other photos shared both to Kris’ feed and Kim’s.
Kim posted a photo of herself with Meghan, and Kris posted one of herself with both Harry and Meghan.

And with a combined following of 404.6m between the mother and daughter duo, it is safe to say the whole world saw these snaps.
So when these photos were deleted, shortly after they were posted, many were wondering what was going on between Camp Sussex and Camp Kardashian.
Kris Jenner and Meghan Markle’s ‘friendship’
It seems now we finally know. And whilst spilling the tea, Kim confirmed Kris’ friendship with Meghan.
“The Photogate,” Khloé prompted. “The Photogate from mum’s 70th.”
To this, Kim responded: “It was really innocent. Which is so crazy. Mum and Meghan have been friends for some years now. And they have a really sweet relationship.”

“We took a photo,” Kim explained. “And then I think we were all going through them. We’re all communicating about what we’re going to post. We’re never ones to post without permission. We are, like… it’s not who we are.”
“We’re very respectful,” Khloé chimed in.
‘We were told it was cool to post’
Kim continued: “We have the craziest, funnest photos from that night, you know. But we were posting just, like, fun photos.”
Khloé then interjected: “Dignified photos.”
“And so we were totally, you know – we were told that it was totally cool to post,” Kim went on to say.
The Kardashians star explained: “And then after it was posted, I think they realised it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party. Even though it’s already up, you know.
“And then [for them to be] taken down and then I think they realised, like, oh, this was so silly.”
Remembrance Day is held annually on November 11 and is a day of reflection for those who have served in the armed forces and those who sacrificed their lives whilst serving.
It is observed annually across the UK and by the royal family.
Khloé then explained that Harry and Meghan “did Baby2Baby right before,” referring to the Baby2Baby Gala the couple attended before going to Kris’ birthday bash.
Baby2Baby is an annual fundraiser for mothers and children in need.

Real reason the photos were taken down
Meghan’s long-time friend and tennis superstar Serena Williams was chosen as the honouree for the 2025 edition of the event, making it extra special for the Sussexes.
“Well, it’s like a charity event,” Kim said of the gala.
“So, like, that was fine. But maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever. So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.”
Kim then went on to joke that she nearly did a Skims campaign inspired by the situation.

“And then, like, you got to laugh at, like, the situation sometimes and just, like, lighten it up and be if everyone’s taking it the wrong way, like, lean in,” she said.
“I was like, ‘We should do a full Skims campaign.’ Take the photo – even just us, like, I’ll shoot you at mum’s, you know. Post it and then delete it, like, 30 minutes later. And then say, ‘Oh, sorry! I didn’t have permission to post those photos for the campaign.'”
“You should do that,” Khloé said, to which Kim replied: “That’s what I was like. That would have hit, so funny.”
“If we just made it light and made it funny, you know. I think it would have been, like, received differently. But I hated how that was received for everyone,” Kim said of the scenario, which was dubbed ‘photogate’.
Kim said. “It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”
Harry and Meghan’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
So, it seems there is no bad blood between the Sussexes and the Kardashian-Jenners.
Now we’re hoping for a collab. Maybe Meghan Markle should be the next Khloé in Wonderland guest?!
