It seems Alan Carr is vying for some recognition from King Charles.

The beloved comedian and Changing Ends star is said to be “fuming,” that King Charles hasn’t chosen him for a very special honour.

Chatting on his podcast, Bottom’s Up! with Lee Peart, Alan revealed vented about something that “p****d” him of.

Unfortunately for the monarch, it appeared to be “another slight” he had dealt Alan’s way.

King Charles fails to ‘recognise’ Alan Carr

Alan’s co-host Lee prompted the conversation when he explained that, on the contrary to many, he doesn’t actually mind January, despite it sometimes feeling like the longest month of the year.

He pointed out that we “expect” January to awful.

When actually, he finds February a “little bit dreary”.

Alan then joked that is why people shouldn’t do Dry January, the challenge where people give up booze for the whole of January.

The comedian quipped that January is a rather “grim month” to give up alcohol.

Why Alan Carr is ‘fuming’ with King Charles

Explaining why his January was even more disappointing, Alan said: “Hey, that’s another thing that p****d me off about being January.

New Year’s Honours List; another year, another slight!

“Surely, I’ve been in showbiz for 25 years. I do loads for f*****g charity. Nothing. I do this podcast with you.”

Alan Carr wants a knighthood

Lee then replied that perhaps an MBE “comes first” before a knighthood.

“Oh no, skip that. I want knighthood,” Alan responded.

Lee then hit back, stating that he didn’t think you could just “skip” out on the honour.

Alan then insisted: “You can! Oh yeah, you fast track, babes. Honestly, I’ll fast track.”

Lee then quipped that Alan had “spoken like a true potential knight”.

Alan then hilariously conceded that his comment was spoken like a “true fantasist”.
