Kate Middleton compared to late Prince Philip as her 'role' in marriage with William 'revealed'
The Princess of Wales is very supportive of her husbandKate Middleton was once compared to the late Prince Philip because of her behaviour towards her husband, Prince William.
The Princess of Wales, 44, shared a close bond with the late Duke of Edinburgh. According to reports, he taught her some valuable lessons about life within the monarchy.
Many royal commentators believe that Princess Catherine will make a great queen alongside William when he’s king one day. And it seems, according to one author, she has a similar approach to royal life as Philip once did.

Kate Middleton compared to Prince Philip over William ‘support’
Prince Philip was by his wife, Queen Elizabeth II’s side throughout her 70-year reign.
He became the longest-serving royal consort in British history, supporting Queen Elizabeth II for over 69 years from her accession in 1952 until his death in April 2021.
I think that Kate is a bit like Prince Philip supporting the Queen.
According to royal biographer Penny Junor, Princess Catherine may take on a similar role when the Prince of Wales becomes king one day.
Speaking to PEOPLE in 2020, Junor said of Kate and William: “She’s never trying to outshine him in any way.
“I think that Kate is a bit like Prince Philip supporting the Queen. She doesn’t outshine William but still has a lot to say herself.”

Valuable lesson Philip ‘taught’ Kate
Catherine, Princess of Wales, married into the royal family in April 2011 when she and William tied the knot at Westminster Abbey.
The Princess of Wales has rarely put a foot wrong since then, becoming one of the most admired members of the monarchy.
But, according to reports, it may have been Prince Philip who helped guide her in the early days.
Royal author Gyles Brandreth explained how in his biography, Philip: The Final Portrait.
Gyles reported that Philip said to Kate: “If you believe the attention is for you personally, you’re going to end up in trouble.
“The attention is for your role, what you do, what you’re supporting. It isn’t for you as an individual. You are not a celebrity. You are representing the royal family. That’s all.”
Gyles said of Kate himself: “I have been on walkabout with the Duchess of Cambridge. She does not look at the camera. Whenever she is interviewed, Catherine talks about the matter in hand, never about herself.”

Kate’s gushing words about Queen Elizabeth II’s behaviour towards public
The Princess of Wales may have learnt some tips from Queen Elizabeth II when it came to public walkabouts.
Speaking on the 2016 documentary, Our Queen at Ninety, Kate gushed: “Everyone feels like they’ve had some quality time with Her Majesty and, also, a real personal connection and I think that’s a real skill.

“I think she’s so, so engaging. She has got the most fantastic smile and I think if the Queen says nothing but she smiles, I think it gives everybody such a huge amount of joy and a huge amount of pleasure.”
It seems this is something Kate has also mastered, as members of the public have often shared gushing details about meeting the future queen on walkabouts.
