The 'most romantic' gesture Prince William made to Kate Middleton for Valentine's Day 'revealed'
So sweet!Prince William reportedly went above and beyond a few years back for his Valentine’s Day gift for his wife, Kate, Princess of Wales.
The beloved royal couple first started dating over 20 years ago before making things official and then getting married in 2011.
Kate and William are also parents to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis.
Since then, Kate and William have gone from strength to strength. And it turns out, a few years back, an adorable William surprised Kate with a heartwarming present.
Prince William’s Valentine’s Day ‘surprise’ for Kate Middleton
Kate and William have celebrated a ton of Valentine’s Days over the years. But back in 2022, it was reported that the future king pulled out all the stops for his gift for Kate.
“William surprised Kate with a huge box of 50 roses on Valentine’s Day,” a source told US Weekly.
However, the surprise apparently didn’t stop there. The insider added: “He handwrote the most romantic message in his card, praising her for being such a wonderful wife and mother.”
What’s more, their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, all got involved in the celebration.
The publication claimed Kate and William received “handmade Valentine’s Day cards” that their three children made at school.
‘It’s the simple things in life that count’
The source also went on to claim how “homebodies” Kate and William prefer a less “extravagant” style of date night.
They said: “William and Kate are homebodies, so their date nights tend to be chill. They’ll watch Netflix and documentaries when the children are in bed, order takeout, play Scrabble and enjoy a few glasses of wine. For them, it’s the simple things in life that count.”

A year later though, Kate made a candid confession about her Valentine’s Day gift from William and sadly she wasn’t expecting much.

While at Leeds Kirkgate Market in Leeds in 2023, Kate stopped at a flower stall where she chatted to florist Neil Ashcroft.
He said to the princess: “No doubt William will be buying you some red roses.”
However, Kate replied: “I don’t think he will do.”
Meanwhile for Valentine’s Day in 2025, the couple’s joint Instagram account uploaded a loved-up photo of them in the woods. The gorgeous photo was captioned simply with a red love heart emoji.
The snap was taken from a film released by the couple in September 2024. It saw Princess Kate confirm she had finished chemotherapy after her cancer battle.
