Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor 'had consensual sex with Virginia Giuffre,' Epstein email claims
Andrew has always denied meeting Virginia GiuffreA new email released as part of the Epstein files has appeared to claim that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had “consensual sex” with Virginia Giuffre.
Ms Giuffre, who died last year aged 41, alleged that she had been forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew has always vehemently denied Ms Giuffre’s allegations.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Virginia Giuffre claims
Virginia Giuffre, an American woman who later became an advocate for survivors of sex trafficking, claimed she was trafficked by Epstein in the early 2000s.
During this time, she alleged she was made to have sex with Andrew on three occasions when she was 17.
Andrew was asked about the allegations during his infamous Newsnight interview in 2019. He denied them – and continues to do so – claiming he had no recollection of ever meeting Ms Giuffre.
In 2022, Andrew and Ms Giuffre came to an out-of-court settlement for an undisclosed sum. However, Andrew made it clear, by doing so, he did not accept any liability.
Ms Giuffre, who was a mother of three, sadly died by suicide in April last year. Her autobiography, Nobody’s Girl, was published posthumously in October 2025. It contained several of the allegations about Andrew, repeating those she had made in the past.

Andrew had ‘consensual sex’ with Virginia Giuffre, new email claims
On January 30, over three million files relating to Epstein and his crimes were released by the US Department of Justice.
Amongst the files is an email allegedly regarding Andrew and Ms Giuffre.
I mean in the end he had consensual sex with VR.
The email exchange, which seemingly took place in 2015 between Epstein and New York Times reporter Landon Thomas Jr, appears to be the first written corroboration that Andrew had sex with Ms Giuffre.
In the email, as reported by the MailOnline, Ms Giuffre is referred to as VR because her maiden name was Roberts.
“I think the big issue is separating yourself from Andrew. I mean in the end he had consensual sex with VR,” an email seemingly from Mr Thomas Jr reads.
“And VR worked for you. The rest is atmospherics. You have moved on! People don’t know that and cant [sic] accept that unless you say as much.”

Epstein’s response
Epstein didn’t deny the claim that Andrew had sex with Ms Giuffre in his reply to the reporter. Instead, the disgraced financier complained that his reputation had “taken a hit”.
He also allegedly added that it would be “crazy” to suggest he would ever traffic women or ask for “underage” girls.
Royal Insider has contacted Andrew’s representatives for comment.
King Charles supports potential police investigation into his brother
Last week, King Charles made an extraordinary statement via the palace in which he confirmed he would not prevent a police investigation into his brother.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: “The king has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.
“While the specific claims in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police, we stand ready to support them as you would expect.
“As was previously stated, Their Majesties’ thoughts and sympathies have been, and remain with, the victims of any and all forms of abuse.”
Andrew has always denied allegations of sexual assault against him. He has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
Being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.
