Across the pond from Harry and Meghan, the royal family have continue to face renewed scrutiny amid the ongoing Andrew, Fergie and Epstein scandal. And the narrative surrounding The Firm hasn’t been the most positive lately.

Prince Harry has also been hitting headlines in the past few months, for his continued lawsuits and trips to the UK. Overall, the mood in the royal sphere has been rather negative.

With that being said, one PR expert wagers that Meghan Markle could be better off on her own.

Without having Prince Harry by her side. But what does this mean for Harry and Meghan? Could Meghan fly solo? Keep reading to unravel the claims…

Harry and Meghan could be going their ‘separate ways’

Last week, Meghan Markle allegedly showed off how she can shine without Prince Harry on her arm, casting a shadow.

The duchess stunned as she attended the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles last week, sporting a long, cream and black gown with a trailing shawl that flowed across the mint carpet.

PR expert and talent agent Dermot McNamara thinks that Meghan’s decision to go out alone, without Harry at her side, was a masterclass in brand marketing and self-preservation.

“Meghan was once seen as a gorgeous, glamorous Hollywood star. And she reminded people of that at the Gala,” he says. “Yes, she became more famous when she married Harry, but she was her own entity before he came along and she is used to going out and working the hustle in a way that Harry hasn’t had to do.”

As per The Mirror, they claimed that in this scenario, Harry and Meghan’s dynamic might not be a case of strength in numbers.

In fact, Meghan Markle might be operating better solo.

Meghan Markle is ‘stronger alone’

“There’s no doubt she’s stronger alone at the moment because the levels of toxicity around the Epstein scandal can’t be overstated,” he explained. “It goes against everything she’s trying to build. So, she won’t want to be associated with it in any way. There’s probably an element of her protecting Harry emotionally, mixed with her protecting herself and her brand.”

Lately, Harry has been focused on his battle for justice in the courts.

He has been embroiled in lawsuits over alleged invasions of his privacy and campaigning for police protection whilst visiting the UK.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been working hard on her luxury lifestyle brand As Ever.

Harry and Meghan also have Archewell Productions company.

They are said to be “dedicated to illuminating thought-provoking and diverse narratives that underscore our common humanity and celebrate community”.

The Sussexes are distancing themselves from The Firm even further

According to Dermot, as the couple don’t have a salary as working royals to rely on, their self promotion is very important.

Therefore, they need to protect their personal brands more than ever.

By distancing themselves from the ongoing royal scandals, they are protecting their livelihoods.

“The Andrew stuff could harm Harry and Meghan more than William and Kate, because their brand is built on their royal affiliation,” he says. “But right now, the last thing anyone wants their brand to be associated with is the royal family. Savvy Meghan will do everything she can to keep her head down and well away from what’s going on. And that means not going out as a royal couple.”
