'Concerns' over King Charles after brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest
"It’s no secret his health is a big concern"King Charles has reportedly sparked concern from within the palace following his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandal and recent arrest.
Andrew, 66, has faced scrutiny over his association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for several years. He has also faced allegations of sexual assault, which he has always vehemently denied.
What’s more, on February 19, 2026, Andrew was arrested by police on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
King Charles has since spoken out and insisted the royal family will support police in its investigation. But according to sources, Charles’ family members are worried about him as “it’s no secret his health is a big concern”.

King Charles ‘in shock’ amid Andrew scandal
Scrutiny has been mounting over Andrew’s association with Epstein following the release of millions of files relating to the disgraced financier last month.
Within these files, images appeared to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified woman lying on the ground. However, the files didn’t supply context to the images.
Being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.
Following the release of files by the US Department of Justice, Andrew was also accused of sharing sensitive and confidential information with Epstein about his official work as a UK trade envoy.

Last week, Andrew was arrested by police on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The specific details of the allegations of misconduct being investigated are unknown. He was released hours later under investigation.
Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. This arrest should not be seen as any indication of guilt and there are no charges yet.
However, with Charles still having his cancer treatment, and amid all the drama going on at the moment, family members reportedly have concerns about the king.

Charles’ ‘health is a big concern’
In early 2024, King Charles announced his cancer diagnosis. He hasn’t revealed the type of cancer he has but it’s believed it isn’t prostate cancer.
The king continued treatment throughout 2024 and 2025. In December last year, Charles shared some “good news” in his cancer journey. He revealed his “cancer treatment can be reduced in the new year”.
But now, following the recent controversy involving his brother Andrew, Charles has reportedly left some within the palace worried as he “doesn’t have the constitution for this kind of scandal”.
A source allegedly told Closer: “Charles is in shock at everything that’s coming out. And, as much as he might put on a very strong show, it’s no secret his health is a big concern.”
The insider went on: “He’s in his late seventies and battling cancer and he’s got to contend with his allegations that his brother is mixed up with Epstein. He doesn’t have the constitution for this kind of scandal.”
They continued: “He has said the only silver lining is that his mother isn’t here to have to face the full extent of this ugliness with her favourite son.”

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.
“As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
