Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor 'issued stern order' as he faces 'ban' following arrest
"It’s considered a bad look"Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly been banned from one of his favourite hobbies following his shock arrest.
Andrew, 66, was arrested on his birthday last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The specific details of the allegations of misconduct being investigated are unknown. However, it comes after he faced allegations that he shared confidential and sensitive documents with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Hours after his arrest on February 19, Andrew was released under investigation and was snapped returning to his temporary Sandringham home, Wood Farm, from police custody.
But now, it’s been claimed that Andrew has been hit with a ban while staying at the residence.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor ‘banned from hobby’
The former prince has dominated headlines in recent months. His association with late convicted sex offender Epstein led to the loss of his royal titles and honours in October 2025 and further tarnished the royal family’s public image.
Following public backlash, it was also announced last year that he and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson were to vacate Royal Lodge. Fast forward to early February 2026, and both Andrew and Sarah left the property.
Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding.
Andrew has since been staying on the Sandringham Estate in a temporary home. This is while his reported permanent new home, Marsh Farm in Sandringham, undergoes renovations.

Ferguson, meanwhile, has not been seen publicly for months and is believed to be abroad.
However, while at Wood Farm, Andrew is reportedly not allowed to take part in one of his favourite hobbies: horse riding.

Andrew ‘hit with ban’
Andrew has long been a fan of horse riding. Before his exit from Royal Lodge, he was regularly seen on the Windsor state riding around amid the scandal surrounding him.
However, Andrew has reportedly been warned not to do the same at his current home, as royal aides fear “it’s considered a bad look”.
“Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding. It’s considered a bad look. They don’t think he should be seen grinning and smiling on his horse like he was in Windsor,” a source told The Sun.
They added: “But it was one of the few things he actually enjoyed doing so what on earth is he going to do with his time?”
Royal Insider has contacted Andrew’s representatives for comment.
Andrew’s new home
Meanwhile, earlier this month, it was claimed Andrew is reportedly not keen on his new Sandringham home, Marsh Farm.
A source told Daily Mail: “He really didn’t want Marsh Farm.
“He won’t have lived anywhere that small since he left his apartment at Buckingham Palace. And then he had free roam of the building and grounds when he needed space.”
What’s more it was also reported that significant renovation work was needed on Marsh Farm before Andrew could move in.
Six-foot high security fences have reportedly sprung up around the property. It replaces the rather flimsy wire fence that previously surrounded the property.
The previous fence gave passers-by a good view of the cottage. However, this new fence would give Andrew some added privacy. In pictures obtained by the Daily Mail, Sky engineers were also seen at the property, presumably installing Sky TV.
