Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor search of Royal Lodge comes to an end

Officers poked around the 30-room property for several days following a raid on Andrew’s home in Windsor and his temporary residence at Wood Farm, Sandringham.

On Tuesday night, February 24, a statement was issued explaining that the search had come to an end at Royal Lodge.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said on Tuesday, as per reports: “Officers have now left the location we have been searching in Berkshire. This concludes the search activity that commenced following our arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on Thursday (19/2).

“We understand the significant public interest in this case and our investigation remains ongoing.

“It is important that our investigators are given the time and space to progress their work. We will provide updates when it is appropriate to do so, but this is unlikely to be for some time.”

The search commenced following Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest at approximately 8am on February 19.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest

Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The specific details of the allegations of misconduct being investigated are unknown. He was released under investigation that same day.

The latest tranche of Epstein Files renewed scrutiny upon his relationship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Following the release of files, Andrew was accused of sharing sensitive and confidential documents with Epstein during his time as a UK trade envoy.

Being pictured or named in the Epstein files does not necessarily indicate wrongdoing.

Andrew has continuously and vehemently denied wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

The disgraced former prince was held for around 11 hours on Thursday before he was released in the late evening.

Meanwhile, the mounting scrutiny against Andrew and the swirling speculation leaves us with several unanswered questions.

And we are desperate to unravel the details…

What did the royals know?

As the royals have continued their duties amid the chaos, many have been wondering what they actually knew about Andrew’s behaviour.

One observer even yelled at King Charles last week: “How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?”

Camilla and Anne were also posed with similar questions whilst out and about.

Despite this, in his statement, King Charles insisted that he “stands ready” to support any police investigation into his brother.

What did royal protection officers see?

In the same breath, royal protection officers that previously served Andrew are also being dragged into the speculation.

Last week, the Met confirmed that they were looking into what Andrew’s ex-protection officers may have witnessed.

Former bodyguards to the royal were said to have been urged to “consider carefully whether anything they saw or heard”.

Meanwhile, one officer alleged, as per reports, that protection officers joined Andrew on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet “Lolita Express”.

He claimed to LBC: “The big question for me is what Andrew’s protection team witnessed on Epstein Island.

“…there was concern that certain members of the royal protection team wilfully turned a blind eye to what was happening on the island.”

Was anything found in the search?

Officers left Wood Farm after nearly 12 hours searching the property and a deep trawl was carried out at Royal Lodge spanning almost a week.

Various vans and cars were spotted going in and out of Royal Lodge, raising questions over what they were actually on the hunt for.

Experts claim they will now be examining any devices they seized, such as phones and laptops. However, no further updates have been issued.

What was going on in those disturbing images of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in the Epstein Files?

The images that recently surfaced, allegedly of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor leering over an unknown female on his hands and knees, definitely raised alarm bells when they were spotted in the Epstein Files.

Unsurprisingly, many observers want to know what exactly was going on.

In two of the images, Andrew appears to be touching the person, who is fully clothed, on her stomach.

Another image showed him staring at the camera.

No context has been supplied for the images. It’s also unclear when and where they were taken.

Where is Sarah Ferguson?

Elsewhere, we are left scratching our heads over Sarah Ferguson’s whereabouts.

It was originally believed she was laying low and possibly with Princess Eugenie abroad. But since Eugenie has been spotted back in London, questions have been sparked again.

Last week, shortly after Andrew’s arrest, it was reported that Sarah Ferguson was not in the country.

The former duchess was said to have spent a few days with friends in the French Alps. She allegedly later headed to the United Arab Emirates, according to the Daily Mail.

She was said to be spending time with Princess Eugenie, who was spotted attending the Basel art fair in Doha, Qatar, the week prior, in her capacity as director of art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Fergie has not been seen publicly for months.

Representatives for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have been contacted for comment.
