Royal family 'rule' Prince Harry and Meghan Markle followed ahead of Jordan trip
They headed to Jordan this weekPrince Harry and Meghan Markle recently stepped out for a trip to Jordan, but it turns out there was a ‘rule’ they had to stick to before making the visit.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to Jordan this week to support communities affected by conflict and displacement.
However, although they stepped down from royal duties in early 2020, there is apparently certain rule that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, have to follow, regarding the royal family.
Last year, reports claimed that Harry had shared his official schedule of engagements and outings with the palace to avoid conflicts between his and Meghan’s outings and the royal family’s engagements.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip amid Andrew scandal
On Wednesday (February 25), Harry and Meghan began a two-day visit to Jordan.
Harry and Meghan’s visit to Jordan marks their first international trip together in 18 months. They were invited by the director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
However, their trip comes amid the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal that is currently rocking the royal family.
Last week, Andrew, 66, was arrested on his birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The specific details of the allegations of misconduct being investigated are unknown. However, it comes after he faced allegations that he shared confidential and sensitive documents with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Harry and Meghan’s royal ‘rule’ they have to follow
The news of Andrew’s arrest sent shockwaves all over the globe. Following the arrest, Andrew’s brother, King Charles, spoke out and insisted the royal family will support police in its investigation.
Meanwhile, Andrew’s daughter Princess Eugenie was spotted out and about earlier this week. Eugenie and her hubby Jack Brooksbank were seen rocking casual clothes on a street in Notting Hill.
Nonetheless, while the timing of Harry and Meghan’s trip will no doubt raise a few eyebrows, Buckingham Palace was notified in advance about their two-day trip to Jordan.
As Express reports, a Sussex official said: “Our work programmes are separate and independently organised, but as a matter of curtesy, yes, they have been informed.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s overseas plans
Over the next two days, Harry and Meghan are expected to meet up with Jordanian leaders and senior health officials. The pair are also due to visit the WHO teams on frontline health and mental health programmes.
British Ambassador to Jordan, Philip Hall, spoke about the Sussexes travelling to the Middle East. He said: “Your visit, your support, your appreciation of the efforts that the United Nations, including of course, the World Health Organization, the government of Jordan and others, are making here is enormously appreciated.”
