Piers Morgan hit back at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-girlfriend in a heated clash on his show last night (Wednesday, February 25).

Lady Victoria Hervey, 49, who dated Andrew, 66, very briefly in 1999, has been outspoken in her support for the disgraced royal in recent years.

Piers Morgan claps back at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex

Last night saw Andrew debated once again on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Alongside a litany of guests, including royal author Andrew Lownie and royal commentator Katie Nicholl, was Andrew’s ex-girlfriend and confidante, Lady Victoria Hervey.

Socialite and aristocrat Hervey dated Andrew briefly in 1999 and has since gone on to vehemently defend him on various occasions amid ongoing scrutiny over his friendship with the late, convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

She has courted controversy with some of her defences of Andrew over the years. She has previously argued that the picture of Andrew with his accuser Virginia Giuffre isn’t real. The socialite has also questioned Ms Giuffre’s allegations against Andrew.

Ms Giuffre, who died last year by suicide, has alleged several times that she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions when she was 17 years old. Andrew has always vehemently denied any of Ms. Giuffre’s allegations.

“To be honest, if you’re not in those files, it would be an insult… because it just means you were a bit of a loser,” she said during an appearance on LBC.

Being named or pictured in the Epstein files does not necessarily indicate wrongdoing.

Last night, Lady Hervey appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss her ex. During the debate, she clashed with Piers by arguing that Andrew “will always be Prince Andrew”.

During the debate, she said: “Let’s just call him Prince Andrew. The Mountbatten thing is way too long.”

“Well, he’s not Prince Andrew anymore,” Piers fired back.

“Well, he’ll always be Prince Andrew,” Lady Hervey replied.

‘He’s no longer a prince!’

Piers was quick to fire back, saying: “Well, he won’t always be Prince Andrew because he’s no longer Prince Andrew.”

“Piers Morgan, what’s your real name? You’re not Piers Morgan, are you?” Lady Hervey then asked.

Piers then revealed that his full surname is actually Pughe-Morgan, but he dropped the Pughe when he became a journalist.

“I think it’s just easier to call him Prince Andrew,” Lady Hervey replied.

“No, he has literally had the word prince removed…” Piers said, but Lady Hervey interrupted, saying: “He was born with that name.”

“It doesn’t matter!” Piers fumed. “He’s no longer a prince! You may want him to be, he’s not a prince.”

Viewers were left divided by Lady Hervey’s remarks.

“Why on earth do you continue to have this woman on your show?” one fan tweeted.

However, another wrote: “SHE IS RIGHT…. BEING A PRINCE ITS A MATTHER OF BLOOD. THEY CAN TAKE THE TITLE… BUT HIS LINEAGE WILL BE THE SAME.”
