Princess Kate then continued: “Wales is very close to our hearts and we look forward to every visit.”

Prince and Princess praised for their ‘wonderful Welsh’
The royal couple’s efforts appear to have gone down well with their Welsh followers, with many showering them with praise.
Welsh treasure Katherine Jenkins herself left them a comment, saying: “Happy St. David’s Day! Wonderful Welsh.”
Strictly star Amy Dowden also commented a Welsh flag and two heart emojis on the post.
Another Instagram user gushed: “How wonderful to hear you two speaking Welsh!! I love it. Happy St. Davids’s Day to everyone celebrating it today.”
Somebody else also said: “Well done! A couple of tricky mutations to pronounce. Thanks for honouring us in our language. Wishing you great happiness today and always.”
“Well done both,” cheered on another fan. “It is appreciated. Not sure I have ever seen a princess of Wales also speaking Welsh.”
A few people also picked up on the Prince and Princess’s tell-tale smiles.
“Well done! They both look like they want to burst out laughing,” said one person.
“Agreed, thought there might have been a few takes,” somebody else agreed.

Ahead of the country’s national day, the couple paid a visit to Wales last week. They stopped by the Hanging Gardens community centre, the Oriel Davis art gallery, and the Hafan yr Afon cultural centre, both accessorised with Wales’ national flower in the form of yellow daffodil badges. Sadly, Kate had to turn down a heartfelt request from one fan who had come out to greet them, telling him she could not give him an autograph but offering him a handshake instead.
