Meghan Markle is reportedly preparing to come back to the UK with her husband Prince Harry later this year.

The Duchess of Sussex has not been to the Duke’s homeland since 2022, when she travelled over for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, but is now said to be planning a “high-powered” return.

An insider reportedly told journalist Rob Shuter: “She wants to show the British public what they threw away. It’s not anger — it’s confidence.”

Meanwhile, another source apparently said: “She’s not going back quietly. If she returns, it will be on her terms.”

She wants to show the British public what they threw away.

Meghan’s return to the UK is expected to coincide with Prince Harry’s one-year-to-go Invictus Games event, which will take place in Birmingham on July 10.

However, the engagement is said to hold extra importance for Meghan, with Shuter reporting that the Duchess has already been eyeing up stylists and designers for her outfits.

One insider claimed that she has her sights set on “the best wardrobe ever seen on a British royal”.

Meghan ‘newly energised’ by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal

Of course, in the years that Harry and Meghan have been away, raising their two young children across the pond in California, the Royal Family has been hit by scandal.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has faced mounting scrutiny over his past association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, after the recent release of millions of files relating to the disgraced financier last month.

Just last week, the disgraced prince was arrested on his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The specific details of the allegations of misconduct being investigated are unknown. However, it follows claims that Andrew shared confidential and sensitive documents with Epstein while serving as a UK trade envoy.

Hours after his arrest on February 19, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was released under investigation. This arrest should not be seen as any indication of guilt and there are no charges thus far. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.

However, friends of the Duchess of Sussex have apparently claimed the situation has “only strengthened her resolve”.

“She feels vindicated. There’s a sense of, ‘We tried to tell you,'” they added, describing her as “newly energised” in readiness for a UK return.

Meghan Markle’s representative has been contacted for comment on this story.
