Prince William and King Charles have reportedly shared a “complex” bond over the years.

But more recently, the father son duo have said to have grown closer. Supposedly, this is due to a major turning point in their relationship.

Prince William’s relationship with King Charles has ‘changed’

In William & Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, royal expert Russell Myers has claimed that insiders believe it was when Wills “began to grow his own family,” that he and Charles became closer.

“While William’s bond with his father throughout his childhood and adolescence may be described as complex, those close to him will relay that as both men have matured it has evolved into one founded on mutual respect and understanding,” Russell alleged.

Russell penned in his book: “William also recognises how his father allowed him, with the late Queen’s blessing, to seek a life outside of the institution for longer than he had been permitted himself.”

Supposedly, Prince William has a “growing appreciation” of the issues King Charles “had to deal with in his life”.

He is said to value King Charles’s “love and guidance throughout his darkest times”.

Undeniably, becoming a father has shaped Prince William’s world for the better.

Prince William’s role as a father

The Prince of Wales has previously shared a glimpse into just how dedicated he is to his role as a dad.

Asked by Eugene Levy on Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler if his job is 9-5, William explained: “It doesn’t quite work like that. But I do try to stick to school timetables as much as possible. So most days we’re in and out of school doing drop offs and pick ups. Getting the balance of work and family life right is really important.”

“If the monarchy is to survive, there is only one solution: King Charles must go,” one columnist recently penned, as per Closer.

And former royal butler Paul Burrell said of the matter: “The monarchy has to be bigger than any one person. So, it’s in safe hands if it goes to William.”

A source also told the publication: “There’s a feeling of panic behind palace walls right now. It feels like the hounds are at the door because more and more people are saying this could spell the end of the public’s support for the Crown. It does seem like the gates are just opening and that more and more is going to come out. He’s now being accused of bringing a woman who was being trafficked by Epstein in and out of the Palace, right under the Queen’s nose. It’s hard to fathom that she wouldn’t have been made aware. And Charles too.”

What will William and Charles’s next move be?

Kensington Palace has been contacted for comment.
