Cheltenham Festival Ladies Day: Queen Camilla rocks flamboyant feathers, Carole Middleton raids Kate's wardrobe and Zara and Mike pack on the PDA
It is a big day out for the royals!
The royals are out in force today at Cheltenham Festival, to mark one of the most popular events, Ladies Day.
Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, Zara and Mike Tindall and Carole Middleton have already been snapped out and about today…
Zara and Mike Tindall were back for a second day of fun, whilst Queen Camilla made her Cheltenham Races 2026 run debut today, March 11, in a very flamboyant hat.

The couple’s loved-up date at the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ was crashed by none other than Carole Middleton.
Zara seemed over the moon to spend time with Carole, whom she was snapped arm in arm with.
The two ladies rocked very similar outfits, with both opting for grey, herringbone wool coats.
Zara accessorised with pops of burgundy, including a chic, dark red hat. Meanwhile, Carole rocked a piece you may recognise.

It seems Carole, Princess Kate’s mother, had raided her royal daughter’s wardrobe for the occasion.

She wore a navy, feather fedora from Hicks & Brown – a £115 hat that Kate previously wore to a service at Sandringham in 2020.
Carole also carried a particularly fancy handbag, easily recognised by any fashionista, a Hermès ‘Birkin’ bag, currently sold for an eye-watering £50,237 on Vestiaire Collective.
The relatives were later joined by none other than Queen Camilla and Princess Anne, who also pulled out all the stops with their traditional yet trendy outfits.

Queen Camilla wore a camel coat, layered over a brown suede skirt and matching boots.
Probably most notably, King Charles’s beloved wife complemented her blonde tresses with an eye-catching, Philip Treacy hat.
The black hat matched black leather gloves Queen Camilla accessorised with and was trimmed with dramatically draped feathers.
The Princess Royal also wore a long coat, with boots, to keep warm whilst looking fashionable.
Princess Anne looked wonderful in a rich, forest green, which she wore with a colourful, patterned scarf and a low-profile, green hat.
Camilla championed ‘trailblazing’ women today in the sport, hailing the first black woman to win a jump race, Aamilah Aswat.
Camilla praised: “Just brilliant. When’s your next race?”
She also spoke with the first female jockey to win both the Grand National in 2021 on Minella Times and the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2022 on A Plus Tard – Rachael Blackmore.
Rachael is currently expecting her first child with her husband, the jockey Brian Hayes.
“Oh, wow, congratulations Rachael,” Camilla reportedly congratulated Blackmore on her pregnancy.
“I know, it’s a bit different to before and the career,” Rachael Blackmore quipped laughed.
Elsewhere, the queen joined Zara Tindall for a photograph, stating: “See you up there,” before heading to the royal box, where she met up with her son Tom Parker-Bowles and her daughter Laura Lopes and her husband, Harry Lopes.
Meanwhile, Zara and Mike Tindall weren’t afraid to pack on the PDA today.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, behavioural analyst Darren Stanton discussed how the duo put their “strong marriage” on full display whilst out and about at Cheltenham Races this week.
Stanton detailed: “Zara and Mike are very comfortable in their surroundings. They are always flashing genuine smiles of happiness and joy. Their eye contact is fixed eye gaze, which is usually reserved for romantic partners and family members. Generally, eye contact lasts five seconds. But with Mike and Zara, they demonstrate that they’re in a deep place in their relationship. They’re not afraid to show PDA and are in good spirits no matter where they are.
“They also match and mirror each other – Mike and Zara are identical in social situations. One isn’t adopting a different posture. Holding hands is something the Royals wouldn’t do in the past. Mike and Zara signify an evolution with the monarchy and don’t have any issues showing public displays of affection. They are always laughing and beaming at each other, which isn’t put on for the paparazzi. These clusters of behaviours give a high chance of genuine bond and a strong relationship.”
