Kate Middleton's '£62k-a-year' college could be Prince George's future as prince 'follows in William's flying footsteps'
A huge decision is on the horizon
Prince George’s future school may have already been ironed out by his mother, Princess Kate Middleton, according to reports.
Although nothing has been confirmed, the future king is said to be the perfect match for a very prestigious school. And it has a high-flying opportunity that could really shape the young royal’s future…
Princess Kate Middleton’s alma mater could be Prince George’s future
On March 3, Kate Middleton’s former haunt, Marlborough College, launched its very own Flight School.
Now, speculation is swirling that Princess Kate’s alma mater could be the perfect match for the future king.

Speaking on the college’s website, Chris Wheatland, Head of Physics, explained: “Vigo G, Tom M-B, Joao F and Blue S-B became the first ever pupils to take to the skies under the programme. Setting a precedent for what we hope will become a thriving and inspiring co-curricular opportunity. Each pupil flew in an Icarus C-42 aircraft alongside a qualified instructor. Experiencing first-hand the precision, focus and exhilaration that light aircraft flying demands.”
It sounds like this could be a very appealing choice for Princess Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince George.
Prince George already has an alleged interest in taking to the skies, as per reports.
Not only that, it would give Prince George the opportunity to follow in his father’s footsteps, as William himself is a qualified pilot.

Prince George could follow in Prince William’s footsteps
The Prince of Wales notably served as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot from 2009 to 2013.
He also served as an ambulance pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance between 2015 and 2017.
If Marlborough College was chosen for Prince George, it would come at an eye-watering fee.
In 2024/2025, the academic year cost £61,809 per annum.
Despite this huge sum, it would give Prince George the chance to learn about aircraft controls, safety procedures and basic flight principles.
Princess Kate has previously revealed that Prince George has a keen interest in aviation.
Back in November, Kate Middleton stated that George “knows much more about aircraft than me” as she led the nation on Armistice Day, where she laid a wreath at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
After the ceremony, she also told war veterans of Prince George: “George very much likes Airfix models and the Lancaster Bomber, and he knows much more about aircraft than me.”
Kensington Palace has been contacted for comment on this matter.

Prince George’s future
No public announcement has been made on Prince George’s secondary school, thus far.
Melanie Sanderson, Managing Editor of The Good Schools Guide, has previously detailed why the Wales family may not have disclosed their decision.
“If the Wales family runs true to form, they will announce Prince George’s secondary school at the eleventh hour, possibly as late as September 2026,” she explained to Hello.
“They understand that the school itself, as well as George’s new peer group, will fall under intense scrutiny as soon as it is revealed and will probably want to minimise this, allowing the young royal to transition to his new school with as little fanfare as possible.”
