Kate Middleton reveals lifestyle change 'since diagnosis' following cancer battle in latest appearance with Prince William
The Princess of Wales was very candid about her lifestyle
Today, Princess Kate Middleton has opened up about her cancer battle. She and Prince William took part in the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile this afternoon, where they visited Borough Market and Faber Beerhall.
They were even invited to taste some beer and cider. This is where Princess Kate Middleton opened up about her recent ill health.
Princess Kate Middleton opened up about her cancer battle
Princess Kate was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer following abdominal surgery in spring of 2024. By January 2025, Princess Kate had shared she was in remission.
In recent months, the Princess of Wales has returned to royal duties and engagements and shared glimpses into her recovery journey.
Today, the 44-year-old princess revealed she has cut back on alcohol “since my diagnosis”.
After pulling pint at Faber Beerhall, the princess was invited to give the alcohol a try.

However, when offered, she politely declined, telling owner Hannah Rhodes: “Since my diagnosis, I haven’t had much alcohol.”
She added: “It’s something I have to be a lot more conscious of now.”

Princess Kate was then said to have turned to Prince William, patted his knee and said: “But you like your cider, don’t you?”
Prince William and Princess Kate had a busy day of engagements
Elsewhere, the royal really got stuck in just about everywhere she could.
Earlier in the day, at nearby Southwark Brewing Company, a craft beer company, the princess even had a go at brewing her own batch of beer.
At one moment, Prince William exclaimed whilst stirring the alcohol: “It smells like horse feed as you’re doing it. There’s a real mixture of smells.”
Peter Jackson, who guided William and Kate during the process, joked in reply: “Yes. It’s good that it changes by the time it gets to your glass.”
Princess Kate Middleton also went up the ladder to stir the mixture in the “kettle” wearing black gloves, just as Wills had.
The couple were said to have showed their competitive sides as they competed to see who could pull the best pint with owner, Peter.
It seems he was impressed too, as he told the Prince and Princess of Wales: “Do you know what? You can come back on Saturday for a shift.”
Prince William shares sweet birthday message
Peter Jackson reportedly pulled out his mobile phone to video call his son, Will Jackson, who is celebrating his 34th birthday today.
The prince also greeted Will, stating: “William, happy birthday. I hope you’ve got a good party tonight.”
When told Will was celebrating his birthday at a restaurant, Prince William quipped: “Is your dad paying? We’re just in here trying not to ruin his brewery. We’ve just been given a pint-pulling contest.”

Evidently, this isn’t all the royals have been up to today.
The duo even visited London’s Borough Market, where they even served crumble to unsuspecting customers.
Romantic link to their early relationship
Elsewhere, the couple also took a trip down the River Thames in an RNLI lifeboat, in an engagement made to highlight the “vital work” of staff and volunteers working for the Royal National Lifeboat Association.
William and Kate also met with crew and RNLI Lifeguards who will be supporting the annual University Boat Race on the Thames next month.

This engagement was extra special for the Prince and Princess of Wales today, as the couple, who will have been married 15 years in April, made their first ever public engagement together at an RNLI station Anglesey.
They launched a lifeboat on Trearddur Bay just two months before they tied the knot in 2011.
