'Rare' Prince Harry statement proves fresh damning Meghan Markle claims have 'hit a very raw nerve'
A new book has made explosive claims about the SussexesPrince Harry’s latest statement has proven that Tom Bower’s new claims about Meghan Markle have really hit a “very raw nerve”, according to a royal commentator.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, is said to be “incandescent” over reports alleging that Queen Camilla once said Meghan had “brainwashed” him.

Meghan ‘brainwashed’ Harry claims
Royal author Tom Bower’s new book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, which is being serialised in The Times, makes several claims about Harry and Meghan.
One of the claims is that Camilla had allegedly been telling friends that Meghan had brainwashed Harry.
“Meghan had become a divisive agent. To please her, Harry was ignoring his old friends. He even changed his telephone number without telling his family,” Bower wrote.
“The jovial lad about town became possessed by seeking revenge. Increasingly, his character mirrored Meghan’s. Emotionally, he veered towards extremes. Simple dislikes became passionate hatred. ‘Meghan’s brainwashed Harry,’ Camilla told a friend,” he then claimed.
However, Harry’s representatives have hit back at Bower’s claims, branding them “deranged”. In a statement, the Sussexes team said that Bower’s “commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation”.
They added: “This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself.”

Royal biographer ‘hit a very raw nerve’ with Prince Harry
The statement continued, saying: “He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”
It’s now been suggested by another royal author that Bower’s claims in his new book have struck a “very raw nerve” with Harry, and his statement proves this.
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond said: “Whatever the truth behind Tom Bower’s explosive account of the continuing tensions between the Sussexes and the Windsor household, one thing is for sure: his words have hit a very raw nerve.”
“It’s rare these days to get any kind of response from Harry and Meghan; they prefer instead to ignore the noise and the gossip. But this time the pushback has been both swift and blistering. Their spokesperson accused Bower of ‘deranged conspiracy and melodrama,'” she then said.

Harry ‘incandescent’ over Bower claims
Bower’s book also claims that the Duchess of Sussex “needed a global stage for genuine admiration and cheering fans”.
Bower said that to Meghan’s “good fortune, Harry agreed that she could star at the Invictus Games”.
However, sources claim that Meghan became a “distraction” from the injured veterans taking part in the games.
These claims will have left Harry “incandescent”, according to Bond.
“For Harry, any attack on his wife is treason and provokes a visceral response: he will defend her to the end of the earth. And there’s nothing wrong with that. The trouble is that his reignited fury and this new spotlight on all that has gone wrong over the past few years has the potential to open up fresh wounds,” she said.
She then added that it these open wounds could make a public reconciliation with the king at the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year nothing but a “pipe dream”.
