Does Prince William have to bow to Camilla?
There are no official rules that dictate if or when a member of the royal family must curtsy or bow to the king and queen.
However, the Prince and Princess of Wales are often seen performing these gestures to Charles and Camilla when greeting them.
According to the royal website: “There are no obligatory codes of behaviour when meeting [The King] or a member of the Royal Family, but many people wish to observe the traditional forms.
“For men this is a neck bow (from the head only) whilst women do a small curtsy. Other people prefer simply to shake hands in the usual way.”
It seems during this state visit, the pair opted for a more informal way of greeting Camilla.
