Reason Princess Charlotte would approve of Prince William's latest remark about major change to his beard

The Prince of Wales’ beard has remained a talking point for some time now since he debuted the look in 2024. Many royal fans have gushed over the bearded look on a variety of engagements William has done over the last couple of years.
But could he now be making a U-turn on his facial hair? His latest comments suggest so…
Prince William makes comment about his beard
William visited a military base in Wiltshire on Thursday. It was here that he hinted he might ditch the beard.
According to reports, the future king pointed out the moustaches that members of the 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment sported.
He reportedly said, stroking his facial hair: “I might end up taking mine off and leaving a ‘tache.”
If he did choose to shave off his beard, it would likely be approved by his 10-year-old daughter Charlotte.
While speaking during a South Africa trip in November 2024, the Prince of Wales opened up about his daughter’s emotional response when she first saw his facial hair.

Princess Charlotte’s tearful reaction to William’s beard
“Well, Charlotte didn’t like it the first time. I got floods of tears, the first one I got tears, so I had to shave it off,” Prince William revealed to reporters.
He added: “I thought, hang on a second, and I convinced her it was going to be okay.”

William’s wife Catherine, Princess of Wales’ reaction to his facial hair was also seemingly revealed last year.
Jason Knauf sat down for a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia to discuss working with the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Jason, who worked as an aide to Prince William and Kate as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, said he loved William’s bearded look.
He said: “I love it. I think it’s great. But I’ve talked to him about it or tried to talk to him about it. He’s like, ‘It’s here. I have a beard. No further conversation.'”

When asked if Kate is a fan of the look, Jason added: “If she didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be there. I could tell you that!”
After seeing recent pictures of William at the military base this week, fans gushed over his uniform and beard. One person said on Instagram: “That beard does wonders for him.”
Another wrote: “All hail the beard!!!!”
