Queen Camilla's eyebrow raising absence from Princess Eugenie's wedding explained
Camilla missed out on a big day
Queen Camilla missed out on a huge family occasion in 2018 – Princess Eugenie’s magical royal wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
In October of 2018, Princess Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank. But for some reason, Queen Camilla wasn’t present.
This is why she ‘skipped out’ on Princess Eugenie’s big day…

Queen Camilla missed Princess Eugenie’s huge royal wedding day
The then-Duchess of Cornwall, Queen Camilla, wasn’t amongst the slew of guests at Windsor to celebrate Princess Eugenie’s special day with Jack Brooksbank.
Instead, Queen Camilla upheld royal duties elsewhere. Leaving King Charles at the celebrations solo.
Due to a longstanding prior commitment to attend a school harvest festival in Scotland, Queen Camilla was ten hours away from her royal relatives on the day.
Some reports claim that Queen Camilla made the decision to stick to her schedule due to her strained relationship with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
However, it is known that Queen Camila was actually devoted to her duties. Evidently, she didn’t want to cancel her plans in Scotland.

The speculation that fuels Camilla’s alleged dislike for Andrew comes from rumours that Andrew didn’t do much to support Charles and Camilla when their relationship first became public.
According to royal author Angela Levin, Camilla felt Andrew “could have done more” to support her and Charles as a couple.
In her book Camilla: From Outcast To Queen Consort, Levin alleged that Andrew didn’t approve of Charles and Camilla’s union.
“His behaviour became very, very negative and extremely unpleasant on not getting his way,” a source claimed.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may have influenced Queen Camilla’s decision to miss Princess Eugenie’s big day
Andrew was even said to feel that Camilla was “insufficiently aristocratic and that she was not to be trusted,” as Charles’ new wife.
Despite this alleged disagreement within The Firm, Princess Eugenie went on to celebrate a memorable day with her loved ones…
Even if her father was part of the reason Charles’ wife avoided the celebrations.
The ceremony was famously held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. It came just five months after Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle at the same venue.

Princess Eugenie’s unforgettable wedding day
The ceremony was attended by approximately 800 guests. The gathering included Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and a host of celebrities.
This star-studded guest list included the likes of Naomi Campbell, Demi Moore, Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevingne, and Robbie Williams.
The bridal party featured young royals Prince George and Princess Charlotte, along with Mia Tindall and Isla and Savannah Phillips.
During the ceremony, Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice, served as maid of honour and gave a heartfelt reading from The Great Gatsby.
Eugenie notably wore a very special tiara loaned by Queen Elizabeth on her big day, paired with her sweeping, ivory wedding gown by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.
Instead of a veil, Eugenie wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, on loan from Queen Elizabeth II. The diamond and emerald headpiece, made by Boucheron in 1919, was paired with matching drop earrings, a gift from Jack.
“I’ve never worn a tiara before in my life,” Eugenie admitted. “It was the most incredible thing to wear such a piece of history that my grandmother had lent me. A very proud moment.”
