'Alternative' reason Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have given for 'missing Easter service' with royal family amid Andrew scandal
They usually attend the service each yearPrincess Beatrice and sister Eugenie will reportedly miss the royal family’s annual Easter service this weekend.
On Easter Sunday (April 5), King Charles and other members of the royal family are expected to attend a service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Each year, his nieces Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, attend the service. However, amid all the scandal surrounding the sisters’ parents, things will be different this year it seems.

‘Why’ Beatrice and Eugenie won’t attend royal Easter service
As reported by the BBC, Beatrice and Eugenie won’t be attending the Easter service this coming Sunday.
It’s understood that the sisters have made “alternative plans” for Easter.
Their absence is understood to be with the agreement of King Charles.
Royal Insider has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

According to reports, King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend the service alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, who missed the service last year.

Last Easter, Beatrice and Eugenie both attended the Easter service. Their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, also attended.
However, since then, Andrew and Sarah have faced more intense scrutiny over their past association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew and Sarah’s past association with Epstein
The scrutiny intensified in January this year following the release of millions of files relating to Epstein and his crimes.
Within these files, images appeared to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified woman lying on the ground. This month (March), another image emerged appearing to show Andrew with Peter Mandelson, both wearing bathrobes, and Epstein. No time or location was given for the photograph.
Andrew and Mandelson have separately been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office amid the scrutiny over their past connections to Epstein.
Following the release of the Epstein files in January, Andrew faced allegations that he shared confidential and sensitive information with Epstein in 2010 during his role as UK’s trade envoy. He has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
Sarah has also found herself in hot water over her past links to Epstein.
Emails allegedly between Sarah and Epstein emerged in the files, appearing to show her referring to the disgraced financier as a “legend” and like a “brother” to her.
Being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.

Beatrice and Eugenie’s ‘heartbreaking reaction’ to Epstein scandal
According to reports, Beatrice and Eugenie have been rocked by the scandal surrounding their parents.
“They are aghast at what they have read. They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them,” a source allegedly told the Daily Mail in February.
“We don’t believe the girls [Beatrice and Eugenie] were told much about what has just emerged [in the latest Epstein files release], and they will simply be aghast at just how close their parents were to this appalling man.”
