King Charles has reportedly showed a big sign of support to his nieces Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, have been going through a tough time recently amid the ongoing scandal surrounding their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.

Both Andrew and Sarah have faced intense scrutiny over their past association with late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

Last October, King Charles initiated a formal process to remove his brother Andrew’s royal titles, including his prince title. It came as scrutiny was mounting against Andrew over his past links to Epstein. However, Beatrice and Eugenie haven’t lost their princess titles.

There’s been much speculation over whether the royal family will distance from Beatrice and Eugenie like they have with Andrew. But, according to a new report, it seems this may not be the case.

King Charles’ ‘show of support’ to Beatrice and Eugenie

The Sun claims that the king, 77, could invite Beatrice and Eugenie to Royal Ascot this summer.

It’s said that the sisters could appear in the official carriage procession and royal enclosure at Ascot during June’s five-day event.

Beatrice and Eugenie could also be joined by their husbands.

A source told the publication: “All the signs are they’re not being judged on the sins of the parents.”

According to The Sun, sources close to King Charles say he remains fond of his nieces and that they’ll be allowed to attend future royal events.

It comes after reports claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie will miss the royal family’s Easter service appearance this weekend. It’s said they’ve made “alternative plans”.

The scandal surrounding Andrew and Sarah

It’s been a turbulent few months for the royal family following the US Department of Justice’s release of millions of Epstein files in January.

Within these files, images appeared to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified woman lying on the ground. No context was provided for the images.

Emails also emerged in the files. Some allegedly showed Andrew appearing to share confidential and sensitive information with Epstein from his official work as trade envoy in 2010 and 2011.

Under official guidance, trade envoys have a duty of confidentiality over sensitive, commercial, or political information about their official visits.

All the signs are they’re not being judged on the sins of the parents.

On February 19, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The specific details of the allegations haven’t been revealed, however.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. Hours after his arrest, police released him under investigation and he has kept a low profile since.

Sarah Ferguson has also faced scrutiny over her alleged links to Epstein. Emails within the Epstein files appeared to show the extent of their friendship.

In some, she appeared to refer to Epstein as a “legend” and described him as a “brother I have always wished for”.

Royal Insider previously contacted Andrew and Sarah for comment on the files. Being named or pictured in the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.

Allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

For many years, Andrew has faced questions over his past association with Epstein.

He stepped back from duties in late 2019 amid the scrutiny. He was sued by the late Virginia Giuffre in a US civil lawsuit in 2021 as she accused him of sexual assault.

Ms Giuffre alleged she was made to sleep with the former prince on three separate occasions when she was 17 in the early 2000s after being trafficked by Epstein. Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations.

In February 2022, Andrew and Ms Giuffre reached an out of court settlement for an undisclosed sum. The royal repeated that the settlement did not mean any liability or admission of guilt.

Fast forward to last year, and scrutiny intensified following the release of Ms Giuffre’s posthumous memoir in which she repeated her allegations against Andrew.

King Charles then initiated a formal process to remove Andrew’s remaining royal titles and honours. He was also ordered to leave his Royal Lodge home in Windsor. He is now living on the king’s Sandringham Estate.

According to reports, Beatrice and Eugenie have been left “aghast” and “mortified” by the Epstein files.
