Virginia Giuffre's family issue plea to King Charles over US state visit following 'decisive action' over Andrew
The king is set to visit America this monthThe family of the late Virginia Giuffre have urged King Charles to meet with survivors of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during his US state visit.
Ms Giuffre, who took her own life last April, previously alleged she was forced to have sex with Charles’ brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on three separate occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein. Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations.
Last October, King Charles took action against his brother. It came after the release of Ms Giuffre’s posthumous memoir. It contained her allegations against Andrew.
He initiated a formal process to remove Andrew’s remaining royal titles and honours. He also ordered his brother to leave his Royal Lodge home in Windsor. Andrew now resides on the king’s Sandringham Estate.
In a statement at the time, the palace said: “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

King Charles urged to meet with Epstein survivors during US state visit
Sky and Amanda Roberts, Ms Giuffre’s brother and sister-in-law, have now issued a statement.
We strongly urge King Charles to meet with us and survivors.
They told BBC Newsnight on Tuesday that they were “hopeful that conversation with survivors and their families will continue to elicit decisive action from the British government against the co-conspirators of Jeffrey Epstein”.

They added: “King Charles III’s visit will come at a deeply personal time for our family.

“His arrival comes just two days after the one-year anniversary of the death of our beloved sister, Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
“We strongly urge King Charles to meet with us and survivors and hear what we have to say. We are thankful to him for heeding our sister’s allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and for his decisive action in stripping his brother from his position as a prince.”
However, it’s reported that the king and Queen Camilla will not be able to meet with Epstein survivors during their US visit.
According to HELLO!, this is due to ongoing police investigations into matters related to Epstein.
Andrew was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his connections with the late sex offender.

‘Virginia spent her life fighting’
They added: “Amanda and I are hopeful that conversation with survivors and their families will continue to elicit decisive action from the British government against the co-conspirators of Jeffrey Epstein.
“Virginia spent her life fighting to hold these predators accountable; it is in her memory that we encourage the king to speak with us and survivors, and continue pursuing justice across the United Kingdom.”
Ms Giuffre’s family previously spoke out following King Charles’ decision to strip Andrew of his prince title.

They emotionally said: “Today, an ordinary American girl from an ordinary American family brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage.”
Ms Giuffre had sued Andrew in a US civil case in 2021, accusing him of sexual assault. They reached at out-of-court settlement in February 2022 for an undisclosed sum.
The royal repeated that the settlement did not mean any liability or admission of guilt. Andrew has always vehemently denied the accusations against him.
