Meet the Royal Insider team

Rebecca Carter, Editor

Rebecca started her career in 2017, joining Digitalbox Publishing Ltd as an apprentice. Rebecca’s love of royals led to her becoming Launch Editor of Royal Insider in 2024 before stepping into the role as the site’s editor in the summer of 2025.

She has an in-depth knowledge of the royal family and has covered several big royal events during her time at Digitalbox, on sister site Entertainment Daily. These include Prince Harry & Meghan’s wedding and Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s funerals.

Kaggie Hyland, Editor-in-Chief

Kaggie has been a journalist for over 20 years, working at multiple national print and online titles, and has been writing about the royal family throughout her career.

She’s covered the most significant royal events in recent times, from Prince Harry & Meghan’s wedding and the births of all the young royals, to the deaths and funerals of the Queen and Prince Philip.

Kaggie is Group Editor-in-Chief of Digitalbox’s ED! Group and oversees Entertainment Daily, TVGuide.co.uk and Emmerdale Insider, alongside Royal Insider.

Lottie O’Neill, Audience Development Editor

Lottie is Group Audience Development Editor of Digitalbox’s ED! Group.

Her first experience with the royal family began at Reach PLC’s national titles in 2020 and she’s never looked back, covering Harry & Meghan’s controversial Oprah Winfrey interview as it happened live in the US.

If there’s a royal biography worth reading, it’s on Lottie’s desk.

Emily Towers, Social Editor

Emily started her career with Digitalbox in 2024 after two years of freelance writing for other publications. Emily loves to write about the latest trending news, whether it’s royal drama, or celebrity chaos.

During her career she has covered a variety of breaking news stories, including the death of Queen Elizabeth II. She loves learning about the royal family’s traditions, looking back on some of their most iconic stories and discussing their unique fashion choices – including their immense jewellery collections!

Rebecca Sayers, Staff Writer

Rebecca gained her Masters degree in journalism, along with her NCTJ qualifications and went on to spend time at local agencies and UTV Live. She then reported on the royals for Celebrity Tidbit, before joining Digitalbox last year. When it comes to senior members of The Firm or important royal events like Trooping the Colour, no stone is left unturned! Rebecca has a deep knowledge of all things related to the royal family and you can guarantee that if there’s a royal wedding on TV, then she will be watching. Annoyingly, they are quite rare!

Robert Slater, Freelance Writer

Rob has been a part of the Digitalbox family since 2021. He has continued to write for Royal Insider as well as it’s sister sites Entertainment Daily and TVGuide throughout that time. Rob covered the aftermath of the Queen’s passing and her funeral, he provided live coverage of the King’s coronation in May 2023, and his favourite time covering the royals was when Prince Harry released his book, Spare – nobody predicted those revelations!

Ella Clarke, Freelance Writer

Ella Clarke caught the journalism bug after studying a Master’s degree at the University of Roehampton. She wrote about the royal family for Entertainment Daily, before transferring her skills to Royal Insider. She has been writing for the site since it’s launch at the beginning of 2025, covering Meghan Markle’s As Ever launch, her Netflix show and Donald Trump’s historic second state visit to the UK.
