It’s been a controversial few years for Prince Andrew, from civil court cases to business dealings laid bare. The disgraced duke is no longer a working royal and reportedly lives a “lonely” life at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

However, according to new claims, rumours of the Duke of York living a sad, lonely life may be exaggerated…

Prince embarking on ‘secret trips overseas’

Following his civil sex case scandal and the exposing of his friendship with notorious paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew has seen his royal life take a downward turn.

The duke, 65, now reportedly lives a quiet, “lonely” life at the Royal Lodge with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. However, that might not quite be the case, according to The Times.

The publication has published a new report claiming that Prince Andrew is actually embarking on secret trips abroad for business dealings.

Prince Andrew’s ‘business dealings’

One source alleged to the publication that the duke has continued his business activities with trips to the Middle East and Switzerland recently.

And according to the report, Andrew isn’t operating alone. His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly helping him out with some of his dealings with public appearances at events related to his businesses.

For example, it emerged recently that Andrew had set up a new company called Innovate Global in 2022. In November last year, Eugenie was present at an event hosted by Innovate in Tokyo, Japan.

The business dealings may explain just how Andrew is able to continue living in the Royal Lodge, despite Charles cutting his allowance last year. It reportedly costs approximately £400,000 per year to maintain the Grade II property.

‘Reality’ of Andrew’s life ‘rather different’ from public narrative

“The public narrative about Andrew is that the former Falklands hero now spends a lonely life trapped in Royal Lodge, going for horse rides in Windsor Great Park and playing video games and golf. But the reality is rather different,” Andrew Lownie, wrote.

“According to one source, he has continued his business activities with recent trips to the Middle East and Switzerland,” he then claimed.

“The King can only hope there are no further scandals to emerge and the press and public soon lose interest in his brother. On present evidence, that is very unlikely.”

Prince Andrew had ‘small’ birthday gathering

The Duke of York’s recent birthday celebrations certainly emphasised his “lonely” life.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam, the duke had a “small gathering” at the Royal Lodge last week.

“Sarah Ferguson, his ex-wife, remains devoted and the Yorks are a close-knit family. Expect Beatrice and Eugenie to be supportive in whatever way they can,” he exclusively told us.

He then added that the birthday wouldn’t be officially acknowledged by the royals.
