Princess Eugenie to 'join team Sussex' in move that could 'spell the end of relationship with William and Kate'

Princess Eugenie is rumoured to be getting closer to Harry and Meghan. This surprising move could even see her become part of Team Sussex.

Princess Eugenie could ‘join team Sussex’ with Harry and Meghan
Shortly after insiders claimed that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been snubbed from attending Royal Ascot, new claims have emerged suggesting that Princess Eugenie could be about to make a surprise professional move…edging the royal closer to Harry and Meghan.
As the ongoing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor drama continues to wreak havoc on royal life, Princess Eugenie is said to be making a change for her future.
According to a source speaking to Closer, Eugenie could be planning to join Team Sussex – to work for none other than Meghan Markle herself.
They alleged: “Eugenie is in crisis mode. All she wants to do right now is protect her children from this hideous situation. This does have her looking at her options and it’s no secret she’s still very close with Harry and Meghan, who have been trying to get her to work with them for ages. She’s always hesitated because she didn’t want to risk her position with the royals. But suddenly she’s now at risk through no fault of her own and it’s got her feeling very unmoored.”
However, this could have a major impact on her relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate. Especially amid rumours that Meghan Markle could be making a UK return…much to Princess Kate’s supposed despair.

“So far William and Kate have been supportive. But it’s clear there are very real limits. If she does follow through and start working for Harry and Meghan it will likely spell the end of any relationship with William and Kate. Of course, that’s the last thing Eugenie wants. She’s always done her best to remain neutral. But she also wants to align herself with the people that are stepping up for her during this very difficult chapter and it doesn’t leave a great taste in Eugenie’s mouth to feel so easily expendable.”

Meghan Markle has previously opened up about her friendship with Eugenie, meaning the move may not be that much of a surprise.
“Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry. So, that was comfortable. We’re friends with them as a couple,” Meghan previously explained.
Eugenie’s bond with Harry and Meghan
The Duchess of Sussex also said in 2021, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, that she, Harry, Eugenie and Jack all went on a Halloween party outing. They had one last night of freedom before news broke confirming Harry and Meghan’s relationship in 2016.
“The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple,” she explained.
Elsewhere, rumours have been swirling claiming that Meghan Markle could be on the brink of a UK return. And Princess Kate is said to not be very impressed.
Meanwhile, Harry is said to believe that their “fresh faces” could carry the monarchy through the ongoing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal.

Princess Beatrice’s ‘dislike’ for William and Kate ‘exposed’
Meanwhile, fresh claims are emerging that also spell trouble for Princess Beatrice’s bond with the Wales family.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, body language expert Judi James believes that Beatrice, Wills and Kate’s relationship may not be so close.
Discussing snaps and footage that emerged of the relatives on Christmas Day, she said: “There is a type of smile known as a performed or applied rictus. That is a wide smile that appears effortful and not prompted by authentic pleasure. Often the wider the smile, the more negative the emotions being masked. Which could be why Beatrice’s smile here, as she waits for the Waleses to go first, hints at what could be awkwardness or dislike.”

Judi went on to detail that Princess Beatrice “begins in something of a huddle with her sister, where the smiles could suggest some conversation through gritted teeth as they watch William, Kate, and the children take the lead. The sisters seem to decide to shuffle off together to the left, where they stand together beaming their smiles at the group in front in a watchful rather than sociable way.
“Beatrice’s glance down at Waleses hints at some quiet impatience or discomfort at having to hang around dutifully and compliantly until they move on. There is no sign of any socialising between them here or any intent of catching Kate’s eye to make the smiles more sociably friendly.”
