As King Charles and Queen Camilla were welcomed to Thompson Dock, the queen was seen holding an umbrella.

However, as she reached out to shake hands, she seemingly lost her grip on the umbrella.

The umbrella then fell slightly and appeared to knock a woman’s face.

The moment was shared on X as one person wrote: “Camilla not only hitting a lady with her umbrella but didn’t seem like she apologised at all. My god the lack of grace this woman has.”

However, others defended Queen Camilla and hit back at the criticism.

One person added: “She wasn’t even aware she accidentally knocked the lady with her umbrella. She wasn’t looking in that direction. Had she, I’m sure she would’ve apologised. Trying to make a story out of nothing!!”

Another commented: “You have not a clue what she said to the lady.”

Meanwhile, a third said: “How do you know she didn’t apologise dear? Were you there?”
