Prince William's hidden 'suffering' that he let slip on family holiday: 'Please no more'
Prince William struggled in the public eye as a child
In Prince William news, a recent documentary detailed how the royal struggled with the limelight during his childhood.
Despite his royal status, William is no stranger to suffering under the pressures of his high-profile lifestyle. The future king, 42, is said to have endured the difficulties of growing up in the limelight from a very young age.
An experience that, sadly, really impacted his happiness.

Prince William news
Recounting William’s struggles in the Channel 5 documentary Prince George: How to Make a Monarch, which aired recently, royal photographer Arthur Edwards explained how the then young prince endured the constant surveying of royal staff.
Edwards shared a moment from a Swiss ski trip photoshoot, explaining: “I remember once when we were in Switzerland on a skiing trip and they would do a photo call. And I remember William saying to me, ‘Please Arthur, no more pictures. No more pictures.'”
It seemed the expectations of the future king were all a bit much for William at the time.
Edwards went on to reflect on this moment. He stated: “He was about nine or 10. He was very sad. He’d had enough of it and when I think back to that, I think ‘My God, how he suffered.’ And he was determined that wasn’t going to happen to his children.”
Prince William and Princess Kate’s ‘present’ approach to parenting their children
It seems William’s desire to protect his children from the pressures of royal life have stemmed from his own experiences.
It’s clear that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ approach to parenting is to be present parents. This is a stark contrast to the typical upbringing of young royals, who sometimes see little of their parents due to relentless duties.
Previously, the Express explained how William and Kate have a strict rule to ensure their children always have one of their parents around during precious times like the school holidays.
The report claimed that the couple “like to ensure that at least one of them is home” with the kids.

Prince William’s shielding of Prince George from ‘scrutiny’
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously explained to the publication that the couple are keen to keep their children out of the public eye as much as possible, especially whilst they are young. He noted that the couple “are wisely concerned at any overexposure of [George] and of Charlotte and Louis”.
Whatever he does, as he is the future King, is of interest
The royal commentator added that George in particular will be subject to the most scrutiny as he grows up, just like William was as a child. George is second in line to the throne.

He said: “Whether as Page of Honour at the coronation or blowing bubbles on a visit to Canada, whatever he does, as he is the future King, is of interest. We are fed titbits, that George enjoys dancing, plays tennis, or likes a pizza. And we get regular photographs of him on special occasions and see him at certain royal events.”
