Meghan Markle drops Confessions of a Female Founder trailer teasing advice that leads to a 'billion-dollar businesses'
Meghan Markle recently dropped the trailer for her new podcast
Meghan Markle is back behind the mic for another podcast – and she’s promising entrepreneurial insights, candid conversations, and a healthy dose of “girl talk.”
On March 25, the Duchess of Sussex dropped the trailer for her new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder. It is set to premiere on April 8 in collaboration with Lemonada Media.
The new venture comes just weeks after the release of her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which received mixed – and often scathing – reviews.
But this latest project may offer Meghan the reset she’s hoping for.

Meghan Markle releases trailer for new podcast
“I’m Meghan, and this is Confessions of a Female Founder,” she begins in the trailer. “A show where I chat with female entrepreneurs and friends about the sleepless nights, the lessons learned and the laser focus that got them to where they are today.”
“We’re diving into the highs – and the lows – and the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses. And of course, we’re going to get some girl talk.”
In one playful moment from the teaser, Meghan is heard jokingly asking a guest: “Are you saying you’re not single now? Have I missed something in the past couple weeks?”
The Duchess will interview accomplished female entrepreneurs. However, she will also reflect on her own journey launching her lifestyle brand As Ever.
“I’m building a business of my own,” she adds in the trailer. “And getting all sorts of practical advice along the way that I’m very excited to share with you.”
Confessions of a Female Founder is Meghan’s first podcast since Archetypes. Archetypes debuted on Spotify in 2022 but was cancelled after one season.
Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek later hinted that not all content from their star-studded roster had delivered.
He dished: “Some of it has worked, some of it hasn’t. We’re learning from those and moving on.”
The new series will drop weekly. It marks Meghan’s first podcast under her new production umbrella following her and Prince Harry’s split from Spotify.

With Love, Meghan backlash
The timing of the podcast comes after the backlash to With Love, Meghan, which many critics described as “out of touch.” Even some U.S. outlets, traditionally supportive of Meghan and Harry, were blunt in their reviews.
The Economist wrote: “One scene is ‘magical.’ Another is ‘so pretty.’ Another is ‘delightful.’ Welcome to With Love, Meghan, Meghan Markle’s new cookery and lifestyle show in which she smiles at things in Montecito.”
Time magazine, which featured the Sussexes on its 2021 Time100 list, said the series was “a royal primer on entertaining that couldn’t be more boring.”
Despite the tepid reception to her Netflix show, Meghan appears undeterred.
“So join me for Confessions of a Female Founder,” she says enthusiastically in the trailer. “From Lemonada Media, which, by the way, is also female-founded. Launching April 8, wherever you get your podcasts. Let’s do this, ladies.”
Whether the new series will be Meghan’s bounce-back moment remains to be seen. But with high-profile guests, and a powerful message for women in business, Confessions may just be her comeback.
