Meghan Markle launches latest business venture
Yesterday (Monday, March 24) saw Meghan launch her ShopMy website storefront.
Her shop features “collections of things I love”, including a gown worth £1,068 and Saint Lauren sandals worth £600.
Meghan shared a screen-recorded video of the storefront on her Instagram for her 2.6 million followers to see.
“Many of you have asked, so here you go! A little shopping to start the week,” she captioned the story.
“More to come,” she then teased, before including a link.
Meghan Markle could earn ‘millions’ from latest venture
The key thing to note on the website is that it reads: “Please note, some products may contain commissionable links”.
Speaking to the MailOnline, money and business coach Maddy Alexander-Grout explained that Meghan could make a lot of money from commissions with this latest venture.
“She could potentially earn millions from this and is probably earning a commission on every sale she makes,” she said.
Based on Meghan’s Instagram following, Mandy predicts that thousands will buy the items on the duchess’ shop.
“If she gets, say 15 percent off a shirt that’s £128, she will be making £19.20. She will be selling thousands of those and could be making at least £19k from one linen shirt,” Mandy explained.
“Looking like Meghan and being like Meghan – she’s going to make a killing off people.”
The duchess and Harry have been forced to make their own money after being cut off financially after quitting life as working royals.
Meghan drops podast trailer
In other Meghan-related news, the duchess dropped the first trailer of her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder.
In the trailer, Meghan can be heard saying: “I’m Meghan, and this is Confessions of a Female Founder, a show where I chat with female entrepreneurs and friends about the sleepless nights, the lessons learned, and the laser focus that got them to where they are today.
“We’re diving into the highs – and the lows – and the kind of advice that turns small ideas into billion-dollar businesses. And of course, we’re going to get some girl talk!” she then continues.
Various audio clips of guests can be heard before Meghan invites listeners to tune in to the new podcast.
“And through it all, I’m building a business of my own, and getting all sorts of practical advice along the way that I’m very excited to share with you,” she says.
“So join me for Confessions of a Female Founder from Lemonada Media, which by the way, is also female-founded. Launching April 8, wherever you get your podcasts. Let’s do this, ladies!”
The podcast will launch on April 8 – which is the day before the 20th wedding anniversary of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
